How do you perform these backspin and topspin? Tried everything, but nothing works. I tried to hold down the downbutton on de dpad and release it before third click, not working, tried to do it on the third click...not working...driving me mad. I saw streams and it worked for others...what the hell am I doing wrong? Also these super spin whith swerve not working for me. Am I doing something wrong? Backspin = pressing up when you set power and pressing down when you set the impact. Topspin = pressing down when setting power and then pressing up when you set impact. You have to unlock these. Can't remember at what point, though. The backspin one is first, I do remember that. One is called a homing shot and I forget the other. There is also side spin shots as well. You don't have to unlock these. It just tells you after so long that you can perform these shots. Being a veteran of the first four everybody's golf games, I started playing these shots from the off and they worked (not the homing etc, but the spin). The more you level up and the better equipment that you get, the more spin you'll be able to apply to your shots. You can play all sorts of shapes with the d-pad, my favourite shots are when you hold top left or right on the way up, then the opposite on the way down. You can put 20-30 yards of curve on the ball in the right situation. It brings in a lot of strategy when planning your way around the course. These shots are risky and hard to pull off, but it's very enjoyable trying them out. |

Just got to Rank 5 and am at Level 21 of fishing. I see there are 2 fishing spots at your home. 1 of the areas (pond) has 1 mystery fish and the one out on the ocean has 2. Anybody caught any of these mystery 3? Also how do you fish on the courses? I see it looks like you can but nobody is working the desk. As far as I know you can only fish in the online open courses for some reason, haven't caught any of them mystery fish yet though I'm only at level 8. I would strongly advise people to collect the gems in each online open comp as they have a use later on |

I have been playing this series off and on since PS1 days, but infrequent enough that I forgot about these shots until they told me in-game that they were there. So thats why I thought they were "unlocks" as it were. I got my 1W up to max and have been switching back and forth between club and ball settings. One has 310 or so off the tee,but the other two are 270ish with more accuracy. |

If you want get the ball to actually back up, you would hold up when the power bar is moving to the left, then when it starts going back to the right, hold down until you've pressed the x button to set the shot. The same for putting draw and fade on a shot, i.e. if you want to play a draw, it would be hold right. If you want to play a big draw, you would hold left when the power bar is moving left then hold right when it's moving right. You will only get backspin if you hit a perfect contact. Also you will only get a small amount of backspin early on in the game. The more you level up your clubs and balls, the more spin you'll be able to get. Anyone having a problem getting into the bonus online courses? My game froze 3 times in a row trying to get in. Wondering if the servers are acting up. Couple of my mates have experienced this too and it had happened only 1 time to me prior

I checked and it would have been at 22:00 in Japan where the game is huge. Seems fine when I play at night though |

Just made it to Rank 7 tonight! The credits ran but can still do some tourneys.
I see the "custom clubs" come into play which can lead to micro transactions if you wanted. Saw somebody had a driver maxed at 360+ yards. Saw an ace on a Par 5 on youtube as well with the driver off the water then onto the green

Micro transactions are bull sh%$ though but it is possible to earn them through play. There are 2 in each open course, 2 in the in and 2 in the out. Also read news there is another 3 courses on the way 👍 |

The very best part of Everybody's Golf hasn't been incorporated into the game just yet... International Tournaments. These real-time online tournaments are where this game is really going to shine. If you haven't played these events in the last 2 Hot Shots/Everybody's Golf titles, then you are in for a real treat (as long as they don't screw it up). The tournaments usually have rules and limitations that help level the playing field, and everyone in the tournament plays at the same time with a time limit for each hole. I can't wait for ClapHanz to get these going already. HB should take notes as these tournaments are the most exciting format for golf competition by far.
