Hi guys, there are some golfers rushing through Q-School to get a card quickly. With the way our system is set up they will earn a Web.com Tour card with up to 4 exemptions depending on how low they go. The idea was that they would use the exemption and earn their way into the pro tours. The problem is that week 1 on the PGA Tour is invite only - so those that are wanting a PGA Tour card will likely wait until week 2 before using the exemption.
That means you may have some higher competition in the first week until the Sony Open is up on the PGA side.
Unfortunate side effect with the invite only event in the first week.
Any concerns please let me know.
Thx

Not like we all registered early and patiently waited for and participated in Q school when it was live or anything......We will always have sandbaggers lurking and I doubt this will affect my overall position but maybe those that were late to the party should of been the ones to take the hit. The reality though is that this tour and everything that goes with it have been extremely well thought out and executed so I trust this will work out fine. Thanks again for all the work and the heads up on this. Can't wait for the tourney to start.

As long as I can make the cut and finish in the top half I'll be happy.

So I hope that they won't be taking away points from the reg. web tour players.

Technically they are regular Web.com tour players too, only they start with exemptions. It'll likely only be for a week assuming they use that exemption for week 2 and make the cut. Otherwise they can only win 3 times before they get promoted.

You'll see them by looking at the Q-School leaderboard and seeing Web.com beside their name.

What about the players that registered but didn't finish Q-School first time round but played at least 1 round? I'm thinking of super pro's like Canadian Gerard Fraser who was Tied for 3rd after the 1st round but failed to submit any other scores. As I understand it these players were auto DQ'd & would start in the Champions Tour? So the same scenario for them too?

Those players will have to complete Q School to get a tour card.

So ... If I miss the cut .... all because the (PGA/EURO tour Pro) players couldn't be committed enough to complete the 1st Q-school invasion into the Opening round of our season (@%$#&%$) ... LOL ...
Doyley ... I think your just too damn nice ...
ROTF ... I would make them pay a fine (in cash) and sent to you!
