I finally bought a PS4 just to get this game last week. I've created 2 RTTS players... First, a CF who promptly got drafted by the Angels, just have to take down Mike Trout to make it there lol. Second, a 2B who got drafted by the Yankees(Boo!) ended up on the same exact path as Canucks Georgie boy a few games into AA got moved to 3rd and now up to AAA still at 3rd. I've screwed around with Diamond Dynasty just a little bit. I guess I got super lucky because on the 2nd ever pack I opened I got the rookie flashback Syndergaard card which ended up selling for like 22,000 stubs so it started me off nicely. Bought a few more packs after that and got the Diamond Trout cleats that sold for another 10,000. Not quite the Diamond Trout himself like that bastard Canuck pulled , but it's been an alright start.

The Tempe Tacos are up and running! Played and won my first online game today 2 - 1 (extra innings game type). Got some slick uni's and spent some time fiddling with logos. You can do pretty much anything in there...but you have to be more patient than I am to get silly. Wooot!

So I created my rtts guy as a LF, 2 contact, 3 power, 4 fielding, 2 arm, 4 speed, and got him drafted to the Cubs (lucky me). The first month I dominated AA, with an average about .390 going into the April 26 game. I start the game off with a lazy fly ball to the right-center gap and it starts drifting away -- but the fielder dives and misses, and with my 78 speed I end at third; bit of a fluke but it's my first triple of MLB 17. Next AB (I'm playing DH this game so no fielding) I get one straight down the middle and send it much more convincingly into the left center gap. The game was at this point not in our favor and mine were the only two hits as we were down 5-1 in the 4th. Well, that definitely changed, as I got back into the box later in the 4th and added a single. The game is now 8-5, and by the time I return in the 6th the lead is narrowed to 8-7. Anyway, I know that I have a single, double, and triple, but I also know that I have very little power and 0 home runs. I'm only looking for a high fastball and let 3 pitches by for a 1-2 count. Then, the fourth pitch is up and it isn't dipping, so I say "screw it" and give the thing a power swing. 423 feet and a few dead scoreboard pixels later, and I've gotten my first homer in the 2017 game as well as my first ever cycle on any baseball game. So far the best gaming moment of the year. The icing on the cake was that the game's 'storyline' included a call from the GM about it.
Yearly I am amazed by the depth of the single player in this game and the rtts is pretty much the only reason I still have a PS4.
I only wish I had the time to see a rtts career through on one game's cycle.

I started my present RTTS player in MLB 15. I'm now in the year 2025. Once his career is over, I'll start one as a pitcher and run that til the end of career.

This game is addicting. Totally hooked on Diamond Dynasty. Pulling Mike Trout and flipping him for 245K stubs have helped me complete some collections and (of course) blow a bunch on packs. I love Battle Royale, but suck terribly at it. Been streaming it quite a bit!

Yes I know, but I had nothing but terrible saves from 16 (my only good one having finished their career) and wanted to see the new storyline features from the very start of a career first.

On sale for $20 off at EB Games in Canada right now. I was very tempted but $60 is still more than I usually like to spend on a game and we get stuck with the stupid Canadian cover with a Blue Jay on the cover instead of Griffey Jr. Not sure if it's the memories of the totally unrelated SNES games or me being a Mariners fan but no Junior on the cover bums me out.
Still wouldn't be surprised if I give into the temptation and get it by the end of the week.

I got so many cards again. I don't play any of the ultimate team/card game stuff. I did a marketplace dump of some a while ago but now i have more again.
Is there a way I can sell these cards to you guys without having others try to snag them? I'll sell them to ya for 1 stub each. I don't have much need for the stubs.

I wasn't able to resist very long and decided to get it today after playing some MLB 14 and realizing I was due for an update. Skipping a couple years means I can't continue my RTTS career but 3 years worth of updates and improvements will seem like a bigger deal than if I purchased it annually. Eager to get started but figured I'd better wait for the 5GB update to finish before I get going. I may or may not post my career story here. We'll see how I feel.
