I bet he doesn't miss as many as we do. True, myself included. I miss more than I should too. I seem to be struggling on Par 5's recently. Frustrating for sure. I just seem to not be happy with birdie instead trying to get home in 2 and end up with a crappy 3rd shot (heavy rough/plugged lie in bunker) and then having to settle for par. The way the game is at the minute a Par 5 should be an automatic birdie. I might hit the green in two but I usually end up miles from the pin and end up three putting. In a tournament with grids on I usually three putt at least once a round, on TST it's about the same but I'm being more defensive with the putter and get the occasional four putt. 😤

If you're not going to force people to play their exemptions in Web..how can you force them to play them in any other tier. Seems super hypocritical to me. If you get an exemption you should have to use it..plain in simple. Don't wanna earn an exemption if you shoot well....don't submit your scores...let someone else take your spot in the standings. Pretty simple. To eat up exemption spots with no intention of using them is the epitome of being a sandbagger. Sorry.

Either everyone should have to use them, or nobody should have to use them. I'd prefer the first option though.

Trying to understand how what you want to do is any different from this situation Jim. This guy was in the pros, only made one cut, and self demoted. Now you have made one cut in web, and want to self-demote. Is the difference that you won't submit your scores in CC-A when you shoot well?

The difference is I don't seem to have the same option...nobody does under the current scenarios. It seems that if you struggle on the PGA you can ask and it will be granted. Doesn't feel like everyone is being treated the same way. I have an issue with that. If I was granted a demotion and earned an exemption the very next week in CC-A..I'd have to use it. In Web...you can kick up your toes and bask in the sunlight with not a care in the world of being pressured to use your exemptions. I don't see how that can be construed as anything but sandbagging. If you earn it...you should have to use it(exemptions), otherwise..why enter your scores?

What makes you think I haven't already asked and been declined? I asked after my 4th straight cut. Why bother asking again...it seems to be etched in stone.

Ah. Well then that is fair. With your wording I wasn't sure if you had asked. Tough situation for the higher ups trying to keep people having fun. Maybe there would be some merit to having an "amateur tour" once TGC2 starts up. Where people mirror the pro tours, get the same stat-keeping benefits of the website, but get to choose their own tour and stay there for a full season, regardless of result. No cuts, less pressure, etc. Seems to be enough people of the same approximate skill level that are wanting something like this. Then if at some point people choose to get back on the competitive, professional track, they can.

Pretty sure thats why theirs different rules. Web, pga, and euro are all considered pro tours. Therefor the admins are always trying to keep those full. Thats why the force move is implemented at the bottom levels. Im still not seeing how if you want to go on to pga/euro that one person would stop you. If you were ready for pga/euro wouldnt you be finishing in the top 10/15 reguardless of one or two peoples scores? So get an exemption and use it. You will have an easier time making pga since the others dont want to use their exemptions. Less people for you to compete against for your card.
Again, web is a pro tour. Once you reach it, you can hone your skills a whole season if you like. No pressure to go be miserable every week. When your ready, yoour ready. I just dont see how guys who cant finish in the top 10 think they are ready for pga?

Instead of forcing Web.com players to use exemptions, I would go the other way - allow CC players to decline exemptions to Web.com. That way, CC players could conceivable compete for the CC Money Title. I would not, however, allow CC players to decline exemptions within CC (CC-C to CC-B, for example) because all tiers of CC share a single money list, and there is a demotion mechanic in place.
Players who had one hot week in Web.com should not be forced to play PGA or Euro if they choose not to. Players with multiple wins already receive battlefield promotions.

Web is a tough spot to be in for those who are better then the average CC-Pro tourney set up, but not quite on the level of the upper half of the Web tour, which has players from the PGA and Euro tours self demoting. Which is where I feel a Web-A tour should be. I know when this all started we did have that in place. I think it worked well for the most part.
I think when TGC2 comes out it might be easier the have different flights of Web. I think at the end of all this we want to play 4 rounds and have it count, or at least feel like you have a chance at making the cut.

Can we implement an option to say when you submit your card if you'd like to use an exemption for the next week if you receive one? And then exemptions be handed to the top x% who would like to use it?

And then exemptions be handed to the top x% who would like to use it? Web exemptions do not have to be used in the following week. They can be used to register in any Pro event that has registration open. Having this in place would have holes in it as you propose (the following week could have a Major or a WGC in it).

I think a solution to the problem presented months ago at the start of this thread is:
If you have a player like the 2nd poster who has no aspirations of moving past Web, disregard their scores when calculating exemptions and hand it to the next guy down the line. Just have an opt-out option on profiles: "I do not wish to be promoted" and, if a player refuses to use X number of exemptions (or declines a Promotion) they have that option turned on for them as well.
It's a lot of manual labor and database work, and clearly not as easy as it sounds, but clearly this system is designed with the idea that everyone aspires to reach the top, and clearly there are people who, for whatever reason, do not aspire to get there. I agree to an extent with the OP that they should not be allowed to hold back everyone else whom the system was designed for.

There is a system in place. If you win 3 times on the Web.com tour, you are automatically promoted.
If a player is not winning every week, then he isn't out of everyone else's league and can be beaten out for exemptions. Give him kudos for being good. He may be planning to try for the money list lead to earn a pro card that way.
What has to stop is the incessant complaining about the rules. The rules are designed around the rules of the real-life pro tours while making exceptions that relate to video game golf.
