I'd assume that is Jacobs vs Phoenix? From my plays all the other results could of went either way and I wouldn't be surprised. All solid submissions.

phoenix over Corran castle was the one that shocked me. It was a tie, 1 judge voted Phoenix and 1 Corran Castle

yeah the one judge is one surprised me. That's all. Not a knock on your track but I didn't think that would be a result that was possible.

I'd like to try to play both again. It's interesting what some of the comments are on the courses and it was things I didn't notice. I did find the Corran clubhouse a little weird and spent a few minutes trying to figure out how it was made and such. Wasn't sure if it was a mansion or the clubhouse. I also spent some time wondering about that small wall built along the mountain side and what that was for. Looked like it was to prevent rocks from rolling into the course. Maybe Patrick can enlighten me.

No beef with the result, playability seems to polarise on my course, some folk thinks it plays well, others find it the complete opposite. It is what it is I see some comments about cuts of rough going into the bunkers... This is where I fundamentally disagree and I know others agree. It is not a mistake but a choice... Which in terms of a contest may be a mistake. But where I'm from the cuts of rough are not always even, frequently they aren't. I accept that people will continue to see this as a problem but it was intentional and I kinda laughed to myself whilst I did it as I knew it'd raise eyebrows As for the various buildings I've been waiting for someone to ask tbh. So, the one in the background is intended to be a castle... Hopefully that one is clear. And there are a couple of towers and 3 sets of ruins... Just cos . Oh and a damaged wall. As for the clubhouse that is supposed to be a much older castle structure which makes up the castle wall but then far more recently a newer building was built in the courtyard, and then even more recently a hotel and restaurant on the back. Each metre of castle wall requires 1 whole building just for the chimney pot. But... Each building has 2 chimneys so the second has to be hidden as does the roof itself. Unfortunately there isn't much we can put there so I enlarge rocks best I can but it is uneven as anything... Obviously it isn't meant to be seen too close up... TGC2 will allow us to do much better I'm sure. And that little wall near 11... Was supposed to just be some left over battlements from an old wall but tbh aren't massively relevant where they are... dunno All in all well done guys, results close so far as I thought they would be. Nervous about the last match now! Although confused with scoring... Does 2 points mean 2 draws for me or 1 draw 1 half result? Either way good luck all

Man! This is nerve wracking....... You really know how to build up the suspense @griff & co. I just want it to be over - open the thread one time & there it is "the results." Freakin' logistical nightmare trying to piece together all the points & who's been judged how many times. Fantastic drama & format. Gotta love it!!

Got a vested interest in this group since my St Bedes course will be taking on the group winner in the next round. Best of luck gentlemen, great efforts from you all

I sort of hope Sam gets 2nd spot here, not because I think I have a great shot at winning against him/you, but simply to get the opportunity to redeem myself from the Summer Showdown loss. I fear I won't make it to a final so this is my chance

A big name went out in our group, can Rhino finish one off in this group?
