The inaugural round has been shot! Thanks to Big Lou and his son for the great round of golf! Lou hit the pin with a 3 iron on the par 5 18th leaving himself a tap in eagle, where as I left my eagle putt an inch and a half short of the cup. The youngster stole the show and posted the first sub 60 round in light winds. Cheers.

Thanks mate, hopefully it plays as good as it looks. Looks interesting and strong just based on the photos. You should see the couple of dozen photos that didn't make it into the thread. I had to draw the line somewhere. my course beats out your course by about 2 degrees of latitude... probably not much else though judging on those pics nice looking course Thank you, sir. Yeah, the golf course is only open a few months out of the year. However the bait shop is open year round.

Haven't played the course yet, but it's the biggest disappointment of the contest so far for me personally. I loved the old name of this course. What happened to the old name Bradley? You should have kept the old name.
Other than that, if it looks and plays anything like the old betas I played, this will be a strong contender!

Unfortunately the umlauts would have kept it from being found in searches. The name may live on some day in another project that is more private...something i don't want people to find perhaps. just played this course this morning nice course, bu there no real challenge to it greens were close to flat, if your looking for a nice easy course to kick back and play then this is the course for you, by far the most relaxing and easiest course i played in a while nice job I'm glad you soaked in the scenery and hope you enjoyed your round. Did you get one close on the 18th? The Bait Shop is kind of a private/resort hybid style that was meant to look tough but play easy. Lots of water, but not threatening on most holes. Offline tee shots will bounce back into the fairway and misshit approaches can curl back towards the pin in many places here. As for the greens...? I only play with the grids (and other stuff) off and after 100 or more playtest rounds I still miss putts here all day long. Give it another try sometime with the green grids off and I think you may change your mind my friend.

Group E just got a lot more interesting, methinks. Solid looking design. The sculpting and framing are nice and tidy on this one. Have to agree it plays a touch on the easy side in base settings, but it was enjoyable.
Without seeing what Moe & Misternic have cooked up yet, I'm going to go out on a limb and say a darn good course (or two) isn't going to make it to the knockout stage from this group. I don't envy the task of the judges once it gets to Groups D & E in the draw. Labeled as the "groups of death" and living up to the billing so far. Not a bad course has come from either.

You are correct sir, this is a tough group for sure. Really glad you enjoyed the round and hope you shot low. I know there are a lot of great new courses out there, but check back in a week or so and I will have a more challenging setup or two for you all.

Great round! Is that a personal best? There are 3 or 4 good eagle chances out there including the 18th so I'm hoping maybe I can break 60 myself one day. Anyhow, glad you enjoyed the course and hopefully I'll get a go at yours later this week.

Not often I play a round of 14 or 15 under and leave feeling a bit disappointed with my score. This would make a great CC-AM course as its very well crafted or a TST-SE course, but they removed SE sadly. Only hole I didn't like is one of the Par-3s with a hill at the back. The green-placement felt a bit forced and unnatural.
Gave the course a 9/10, but that's only because I would like to have seen a greater challenge personally. Shouldn't affect you in the competition. Haven't played any other courses in your group yet, but I'm guessing this will take you through to the knockout stages. Pretty much solidifies my initial thought having played your betas of the course.
Well done m8!
