What will happen once TGC2 comes out?
1. A group of fanboys will rush to the forums to basically spew gooey warm love all over the forums.
2. A group of trolls will come in and say how horrible it is, how it's not a real 2nd edition of the game and state their desire to see Anthony Kyne sacrificed to the dark lord.
3. Another group will say they're sick of the fact a game launch is dominated by the two extremes of opinions.
4. My game play will still suck.

Will TGCTours abandon the old TGC and only use the new one? Going to be a decision TGC Tours will have to make. since TGC season 3 will start before TGC2 comes out pretty sure we will start with that. Not sure what the plan will be mid stream though next season though. 1500 regulars may not want to shell the quid for a new game right away but I will though

I'll still be playing TGC ...I can't afford to upgrade my computer and I'm already playing this game on the lowest possible settings just to get it to run 1/2 decent. No way I'll be able to run TGC 2 when it's released. So it'll be TGC for me for quite some time...hope they keep something in it for us chumps that can't afford the big rigs to run a game. If not I'll leave this game behind and move to something else.(which is what is likely to happen)

Tbh this game is brilliant in many respects but the optimisation of the game engine is a bit lacking - you might find the next version a bit easier on the CPU/GPU.
I will get the new version, but will continue to play tour events on the old if there is a bit of inertia in changing, which I suspect will be the case. This site is the only reason I still play now, so that isn't going to change because there is a new version.
Much like Irving, I predict much gnashing of teeth and entrenched positions when it does finally arrive.

Why do you assume you won't be able to run the new game? just going by the fact that I almost can't currently run this one ok, thought maybe you heard some specs already. They are upgrading to the new unity engine, so that might actually help you performance wise. I wouldn't rule it out until you can try.

I just anticipate (like with any new release) more eye candy and soda pop that will drag down lower end rigs and make the game virtually unplayable. I've yet to have a new game come out release over release and not had to at least drop my settings to play it. I'm at the lowest now..so I can't go any lower.

I'm a PS4 player, but I don't think I will upgrade immediately to TGC2. New games on the PS tend to be quite expensive.

Games are usually trying to push performance and maximize what they can put in to make the game a draw. The problem is they aren't just competing against the earlier version of TGC but against other golf games.

Just from the sneak peek video the eye candy is 100 times more evident in the upcoming release. If you're struggling to hit 25fps now on the lowest possible settings like I am...it will be like playing in freeze frame once TGC2 is released making the game useless to buy in my opinion without a major computer overhaul.
