I wish I had nothing to do so I could practice haha. God knows I need practice I think he's referring to the fact we missed the cut on our euro attempts this week Shane. I'll be giving it a whirl tomorrow probably. Might play the final 2 euro rounds too, just for the hell of it haha. See you on the tee Jamie

Unfortunately real life is getting in the way of video golf for today. Hope to get on it tomorrow. I'm actually a bit worried I might not get to play Carolina Low. We go on holiday next Wednesday and got quite a full schedule up to then. Definitely going to miss out on US Open qualifying. Looks like you were right about -8. Better luck next time

I'm thinking I might stream my miserable play this week. Perhaps on a practice run. Could give tips on how I've designed the course... then again. I suck at it..

Just had my first look at this. Things I learned: 1. Don't miss the fairways 2. The fairways are quite hard to hit 3. I didn't like my driver anyway 4. Nice to be reminded what an 8 on my scorecard looks like 5. Don't miss the fairways Goes to prove, you don't need to firm a course up to make it a challenge. This course is excellent, really makes you think about every shot, like a Web version of Fossmill. Fair to say my first practice round didn't go well, but I'm really looking forward to this one Great job mrooola

Yet when I looked at the course records we have a Webber who destroyed it going -40 something over 4 days. I have no clue how he did that...

The precision required will be a lot more difficult if the wind gets up. By the way, have you ever gone in the water off 3 (I think, might have been 4)? The drop zone area is horrific! I lost two balls on that hole, will be doing my best to avoid that mistake again!

I guess it depends on where you go in from. Got a horrific drop once on 16 and that is similar in setup. If it's the Par 3 4th I can't say I've thought water to be a possibility. You could always replay from the original spot right?

Although I've been playing not as good as I can the last few weeks, I have hopes to place well in this one....probably just jynxed myself saying that though haha. But I had a quick run of both the Thursday and Friday set ups and have the pottential for at least -20 through the 1st 2 rounds. The one hole that's making me nervous is (I think) hole 8. Downhill par 4 requiring a short to mid iron shot off the tee. I keep going either long into the water or short in the heavy ruff depending on the wind.
I feel the winds, if strong on at least one of the rounds, will have a severe impact on scores. Very nice course to play though, very well thought out and designed for the thinking mans golf rather than smash it down the fairway open courses. It can make you feel closed in and almost clostrophibic on some holes, and that's in calm winds.

I'd missed the fairway off the tee, green has water front and left, my approach came out of the rough going left and went in where the water cuts in to the fairway. It put me the other side of the water in really heavy rough on an angle lie, I promptly didn't give it quite enough got a bit damp again. All my own fault, basically hit three bad shots, but all of them were only just bad shots and cost me an 8! Like I said, not complaining at all. I like a course which has danger if you get it wrong, I didn't think it was unfair, just in case that's the impression you got. Going to be a fun challenge to score well on this one

Nono, I didn't take it as a complaint. You probably deserved that 8 for something you've done in life anyway!
