Wow. Have you guys been over there lately? Don't bother. Ever since the majority of us have been spending our time over here at TGCT, it seems like the inmates have taken over the asylum. I find myself getting physically angry at some of the posts these passive aggressive morons post over there. TGC just isn't good enough for them. They complain about not hearing from HB, even though they respond to them everyday. Then they get some news from the studio and it's not enough. HB telling them they literally can't tell them what's coming yet (obvious teaser for something big)...they just don't care and keep complaining. It's unreal.
We all know this game has its issues and we are awaiting news on new improvements, a possible sequel, etc....but some of those guys are just relentless. I can just picture Anthony and others pulling their hair out reading some of these stupid posts.
I occasionally compare member counts at different points in the day, and TGCT forums almost always have more members than the HB forums. I wonder why.
It sucks that is what it has become over there. I'm close with HB_Keith and I still head over there from time to time, but he has a job I don't envy. I'd be fired in two days having to deal with these idiots.
I'm so glad we have this forum. We get on each others nerves at times, but we all love the game, and that's what matters most.
Rant over.

Agree 100% The thing is for the longest time the only people the studio ever responded to were this sort so it's no wonder they are the only ones left. I feel bad because it was such a great community, different than the usual boards you come across from EA or other big studios. Unfortunately that environment didn't last.

To be honest, I've never really checked these forums out to know they were that active. Now I know...lol. I usually log in to post tour scores and go on my way. I will definitely be spending more time on these boards from here forward.

Yea, i saw some of the posts in the thread about the Dev Diary. I couldn't understand the reason for some of the comments. A lot of ingrates for sure.
I still feel like I should post something in that thread to come to the defense of the studio instead of being a bystander and allowing them to get pistol whipped like they have by some people. At some point I probably will.

I have posted less than 5 times over there. Once in the first Elimination tournament, and the next time about why green grids shouldn't be allowed for True Sim.
I have never, ever, cared for the game forums of any golf game I have played....

Yeah. Saddest thing is I see more and more threads over here each week that wouldn't look out of place over there.....

I never visit the HB Studios forum. There's enough stupidity over here. Not naming names..

Well they kind of made their own bed now they have to sleep in it.
They created an environment where the game developers are open and accessible to the players/customers and fostered open discussion, even allowed obvious trolls to continue to post over there. Which is refreshing and admirable for a game studio but it just doesn't work. They need to break out the ban hammer.
Luckily I don't spend more than 5 minutes at a time over there, that dark forum scheme is hard on my eyes. Which I will even go so far and say it probably brings out the negative attitude in people. It's a depressing looking board. Brighten it up.

Thanks for that Andre. I only went and clicked on the link. I've not been on the HB forum very often all for a long time and it didn't take me long to remember why. I couldn't help posting my support for the studio. The best value game ever.

I happened over there recently and read thread after thread from folks talking about how broken the game it.... While some small things could be tweaked here and there, to me its the greatest golf game ever made as is....
Lot of angry that's for sure...

I've been in HB_Keith's position before - in a past job, Keith would've been my boss - working as customer service for an online game. There are the same cast of characters there too. It's so grating to answer the same belligerent attacks on a daily basis.
I still visit the HB forums often, but there's not much worth reading there. I am looking forward to the retrospective dev diary though, even though I am sure I am in the minority there.

P.S. Any game that costs $30, but has kept me entertained and coming back for hundreds - thousands - of hours is pretty damn good.

The entitlement over there is ridiculous. Once we bought their game, hb owed us nothing but they've continued to offer us (usually) free improvements. Yes the game has flaws, but I've never seen a game that takes some feedback and offers additional content for free. At the moment, these people are so upset because there hasn't been new information( in four months), which is just absurd. Most game devs won't even respond to you.
The blatant disrespect is what really gets me though. If you have a problem with the game, that's fine, voice it. Just have a little respect when you do so. I've been embarrassed the last few days reading the responses to the dev diary.
