You're an angry man Canuck ?. Love the fire, and passion for the game. I feel bad for the hb guys, they've put an unbelievable game out for 30 bucks and continue to work on improving it but seem to just get shat on for the games short comings. It's funny, clicking yours and Craig's links is the first time I've checked those forums in months, and just reminded me why I don't go there anymore. I just started enjoying this one more and that one less, I don't even post my courses there anymore, I don't really worry about plays and you're definitely going to get more constructive feedback here (bad or good). I just hope our forums can stay fun and respectful (with the odd smack talking) and don't head down that path. I enjoy being on this forum, ton of good people that keep this game and tour interesting. Ps is it weird that I'm Canadian and have never had poutine ?

I haven't really thought about it until I read your post Andre, but I'm rarely on the other forum any more as well. Only 1 or 2x a week, and that's looking at new courses. I've probably missed a lot of information on the other topics, but I think I get 95% of what I need here. I'm very appreciative of TGCTours and the forum here. I wouldn't even be playing anymore without the tours and this community.

It's the same things again and again in a million threads. Some valid points but the sense of entitlement is just insane. I thought I was good at coming off like a passive-aggressive knowitall douche, but I've got nothing on some of these guys.
I got a good laugh about Anthony explaining in the webcast that they were working on some contract stuff making some money which makes perfect sense - and then several guys go of on a tirade about how disappointing it is that the team are not working for free to make that specific function they need to have. If you really want it that bad just fund it then. I'm sure HB will be accommodating. Burn rate around 40-50k a month?
Also funny that it's now the PG folks that seem to post the most in there. Do not get why HB interacts so much with them over forum and PMs - creating a climate where the most audacious post gets attention. Seems Anthony likes fuelling the trolls, but it doesn't create the image of a great game for the casual visitor to the forums, which is really too bad.
I like the idea of a "positive overload", hope we can get the ball moving.
Still haven't forgiven AK for hating on no grid though, so would be awesome to flood the place with TST highlights.

The loudest people are always the ones with an axe to grind. That's just the nature of the world. Empty vessels make the most noise. Let them be happy being miserable. And girls always talk during the best parts of a movie.

I defended HB for a long time up and even after I found out they lied to me about ball squirt. I was one of the people who saw it early and and was told way back by HB_Loren that I was imagining it and it did not exist. Even Anthony at the beginning while he didn't deny it, said he would look into it which I found disingenuous and misleading at bast. To me if a software maker goes out of their way to ignore/lie about something that it turns out they not only knew about but intentionally added to the game at the beginning, it really feels that a trust has been betrayed and future "guarantees", "Promises" or "declarations" have to be taken with a grain of salt if not a healthy dose of skepticism. THat being said, since then, I have worked closely with Anthony by sharing many videos of things that didn't make sense and or were flat out buggy and to his credit, he has taken those things, fixed some and is supposedly working on others. Simply put, HB cannot put the number of raw play hours we as a playing community can and thus they cannot find every bug out there, thus they rely on us to figure out things for them and duly report. If they don't know about something, they can hardly fix it now, can they? I'm very glad to have heard that HB employees have been playing more and more of this game to try and experience first hand some of the things we have experienced. They have a system that if you have something weird happen, you can tell them the date, time, course, hole number and they can bring up that exact shot and replay it on their system in full to see if it is an issue with the shot itself or how it is interpreted by our machines. Also, HB has given this community many things to help the Admin make a beautiful set of tours here, specifically with API for score cards and to help find cheaters. HB did NOT have to do this so Kudos to them for this. I'm hoping HB learned a valuable lesson about hiding/misleading us on things and realized we are here to help and work with them than against them. Hopefully we can continue this relationship and help make TGC the best golf game out there be in its current format or in a TGC2 format. Oh and for MCB. The putting is still broken.

Hadn't been to the HB forum for months -- got a quick reminder as to why. It's a shame, because it would be a great opportunity to interface with the HB staff on a higher plane, in a respectful and mutually beneficial way. Over there, the lines of communication are such that the hyper critics feel entitled to simply launch attacks on whatever they feel needs pummeling. I doubt I'll be back there for a while.

I went over to make a comment about multi pins and I was again reminded why I don't go on their forum. It was an interesting topic and there were some really good points however there was so many posts attacking people, it just wasn't worth going through. We are at a time when constructive comments can shape the game and make it better. Unfortunately there are too many over there who just want to slag everyone off, useful feedback is limited.
