After moaning about the fast/firm conditions we've been stuck with lately, I thought the course this week was great. Yes, the greens were a bit crazy, but I didn't think they were particularly unfair.
I'm glad we pretty much all found it difficult. In the end I was fairly content with a 65, 69, 69 and 65. Could have been much better, but I'm happy to see lots of people struggle!

Surprised people find this course tough. I honestly thought my -7/-4 would be below average and get cut. For comparisons I hit -1/+1 last week.

This what people don't seem to get. I fckn putted a 5 footer into a bunker, and laughed it off. I don't recall which hole, but it will happen to others as well as my approach was the only safe spot to hit it. I wanted to smack Mr Rage playing as I was following him and he fckn threw away not only a top 10 but a chance to win. Have we become so accustomed to making birdie on every hole, when we don't we have to get mad, and slam the course, slam the controller and basically ruin our rounds, ruin our day. Rather than ruin your day, ruin your round, ruin your week, look at what went wrong, you may just find you did not drop a shot at all and others are going to experience precisely the exact same thing. You are going to encounter some courses from time to time where making par is the new making par and playing for par is the new course management strategy, what a concept, TGCT forcing you to play golf instead of darts. Grow up people, laugh it off and move on to the next hole. Make lemonade from those lemons. It seems like u do it in the last round everytime u got a shot at winning. Well done for keeping your head this week.

Which I generally do most weeks, Boom. Is it wrong to let off some steam on occasion? I disliked the course in practice, I disliked the course when I played. Posted my point and now I'm focused on next week. Apologies you had to read a little bit of moaning lad. I'll say the same to you then, you might be getting mad and wrecking your round when you did precisely what most others did as well. If it carries over to the next hole and then the next you are only killing yourself. I don't care what people do on these forums TBH, I'm just trying to help people on the course and help them play with the right mindset. I have seen many people let to much get to them on course and they blow their chances at a good finish. Remember, this video game is 90% mental, 5% math, and 5% ability. Don't let this chit get into your head on the course. For anyone playing the wgc next week, gd luck, I set that puppy up to muck with your head. I think tat course for matchplay nxt week may kill me...haha

At least with it being match play rules u can rage play a hole with max strokes and then come back fresh n strong on the next with a bird!!

First two rounds in the books. Got to the first round too anxious and shaky; missed some nice opportunities in the first 2-3 holes. Then got better but two bogeys due to stupidly missed fairways made me eat sh%$ and finish R1 with a bit disappointing 65 (-7). Then R2 came and apparently I was ready to handle it One of my best rounds so far on TGCT. Very nice 60 (-12) with 7 birdies in the first 9 holes. I'm sitting very comfy at -17 at the turn - we'll see what the week-end will bring to the table Edit - I'm clearly unable to do basic math here As Daniel @ichaozxd pointed out below I'm actually at -19

-5 +3 +2 +3 another missed cut jaja better luck next week Hard luck Marc, this weeks course is a tricky one, there are birdies there but there are some ridiculous spots you can get yourself in too so a double or two out of nowhere can easily happen. I was lucky enough to get a good 1st rd in and take the pressure off but I wouldn't fancy chasing birdies on this course with the setup of some of the pins you can't actually leave an approach below the cup. You will be back with good scores soon.

This course was a tough one indeed! A course can be tough without being hard and fast. I shot -6 and- 4 for -10 and I am sure will be on the cut line. Missed a ton of putts just on the edge. A few pin placements were borderline unfair.
All in all, had a lot of fun. Will wait until the cut comes before I play the weekend if I make it.
Good luck to all who has yet to put a peg in the ground.
