I'll start this off this week Round 1 -7 Round 2 -3 Round 3 -4 Round 4 -3 Total -17 Really struggled on this course but see I wasn't the only one. Man round 2 kicked up a storm the wind was very strong thru the first 11 holes at least. Mix that with tight fairways we could see a low cut line this week. Played average overall nothing fancy. Had a 82%shot into the water in round 4 and made double bogey. Had another double on a later par 3 which was a nightmare of a hole with tailwind and 3iron won't make it and 5wood lofted up 2 boxes still made me go over the back and trickle into the water, another double I dropped 5shots in round 4 but made 9birdies so could have been worse.
Best of luck everyone to play :-) Any guess takers for the cut? Will -10 be enough??

Had a nightmare on this course! My ass was well and truly handed to me in the 2nd round, anything that could go wrong did and my putting was atrocious. How I didn't rage quit is beyond me.... played the last 2 rounds even though I'll miss the cut and they weren't much better either -6 +4!! -2 -2 my first missed cut for ages oh well on to next week! Good luck to all those left to play and well done to those that mastered this course in those conditions

RD1- 68 (-4) kept leaving those 10-15ft breaking puts and couldn't sink them RD2- 64 (-8) played well early in the high winds, decent round RD3- 65 (-7) again played pretty well RD4- 60 (-12) started with bogie and missed a shorty on 17, otherwise very good round
-31 slow start but ended up with a nice score to finish, I think -12 should make the cut but it's not a certainty.

I need to learn to chip uphill/over long distances. REALLY BADLY...I think my lack of knowledge here will cost me the cut. The two monster par 5's with huge slopes at the green fronts (4 and 13) cost me a total of 5-6 shots because I had no idea how to chip up into them. So I flopped (both in reality and in game) ran back off the greens multiple times, once for a double that should have been an easy bidie and the other being a triple which shall be spoke of nevermore.... Everything else was pretty nice. Had a great start in round 1, think I was 5 under after 6 or something like that, missed and birdie and then the return putt and that sent me into a lull until that double bogey on 13.. never really recovered after. Rd 1 -5... should have been -8 The start of Round 2 kicked me in the face. HARD. I was playing with gavlaar124 's ghost and we were both struggling, I hit my triple *cough* here, once again because I have no idea how to chip uphill... I was +4 after 4 holes. I stopped playing and came back to it today thinking no fear just go for it. It somewhat worked, I managed to go -8 over the last 13 holes to get myself back to -4, it probably could have been a bit better; I was putting really well andmissed about 3 by mere inches. Oh well though, I learned a lot this week, mainly practice my god damn chipping so I dont have to rely on flops in situations where it is like the worst idea ever... I also fought back from a truly garbage position. I can't see -9 making the cut so i'll be back next week, ready. I hope...-5/-4 Total - 9 Good luck everyone!

67, 67, 69, 69 (-16) Strange tourney for me here this week, very dissapointed with my score but overall I really did think the course was well designed! No tarmac greens and still a tough course where birdies weren't easy to come by. Add to that the high winds and it was a tough but fair challenge, in my view one of the best courses I've played in a while. Frustrating at times yes but that's golf..Its a mental challenge more than anything at times and this course provides a stiff test in that regard. My first round this week largely dictated how my 4 rds would pan out..Having got to off to a fast start at -6 thru 7 I could not have forseen what would happen in the next 11 holes.. Went on a run of pars and had 1 bogey as well, just lippin putts n some badly executed shots as well in there to finish -5 for the 1st rd from there on I plodded my way to 11 under for the next 3 RDS with the disappointment of R1 firmly in my mind. Overall very dissapointed this week but as I say I enjoyed the course.. The wind made it extra tough which I prefer massively compared to concrete greens.I just didn't putt well enough in a lot of instances and made a whole host of errors from not being precise enough and trust me this is a precision course. Remarkable given the greens are receptive. 1 yard too far on a pitch or approach at times and u face what looked like a routine birdie on a short hole to a testing birdie putt.Amazingly given my score but Well done to the designer was the thought at the forefront of my mind after I limped off the 72nd hole having just not played well enough. Good luck to all yet to start there tourneys n well done to those of you scoring well thus far, especially well done to gfoss on a very good -31.. That's good golf!

-8,-7,-9,-7 for -31 total. Great course and it was a nice change playing in higher winds on slower greens. Felt like I could have gone 5 shots lower but a few bad shots cost me. I also had my second hole in 1 in the last 3 weeks. Curious to see how the top guys do in the high winds. Low scores can definitely be had but takes total concentration for all 72 holes.

Unlucky mate, I am in the same boat about the flop shots. They are the reason I bogey so much and par the par 5's.I have to learn how to chip, trust and learn how to chip with a PW instead of half swing flop shots It is holding me back back from progressing because I am a very good putter. Hopefully you have done enough to make the cut man. It was a great fight back from you and you really deserve to escape the watchers this week :-)

Went ahead and played the last 2 rounds anyway, despite the very slim chance I'm around for the weekend. My semi good form from the end of the 2nd round continued and I shot a pretty good -10 on round 3 and a -6 on the last. Personal highlight was hole 14 I think on the last round, par 4 with a backstop to roll back down. My magnificent luck managed to get me stuck right at the very top of that steep incline and I did not come down. Left with a 20ft putt 18 inches downhill I set the marker at 1 inch haha. Tapped it as light as possible and still rolled 33ft past, leaving me with a 59ish foot equivalent putt coming back with elevation taken into account, got pissed and made the putt, felt so good after feeling cheated getting stuck on the ridiculous slope... Happy with a -16 finish for the final rounds after the shambles of 1 and 2, learned a lot this week! -5 -4 -10 -6 -25 total. More likely missing the cut at -9 however

I'm hoping Wildrover is right about the cut line being -8,-9 because that is a top 30 score at least well done

I didn't even cross over to play my own course this week knowing it was going to be tough. Enjoy Euros! I'll be sitting back like this.
