Let me get this out of the way.... I shot 60-67-66-118 for a +23 total. Looks like this will be a good test for the API and Tim's code! Don't suppose there's footage of the final round anywhere? I wish there was footage, it might become viral if there was

That's my rounds done.
Rd1: 64 (-8) Good solid round, a couple of stupid bogies but I'm happy with the score. Rd2: 65 (-7) As above, high winds too so solid score. Rd3: 67 (-5) Made some stupid approaches, plus the somewhat mental pin positions at times equals a very meh round. Rd4: 68 (-4) Was -5 through 7 and feeling confident. Par 5 8th, my third shot is 39yards to pin, which is right at the tip of the stupidest slope ever. Hit a 40yard stock lob as want to finish high due to spin back. Hit the pin, go flying off the green. 17 yards next shot. Hit a perfect partial flop right next to the hole, but nah, roll back one foot, catch the slope, roll back 20 feet and leave a horrible putt. Bogey. Couple that with a 7 foot downhill putt I barely tapped which clipped the edge of the hole, picked up speed and went 25 feet and a couple of other idiotic scenarios and yeah. Horrible round.
So in short I hate the course, finished -24 and am now gonna drink myself into a stupor. Good luck all!

This what people don't seem to get. I fckn putted a 5 footer into a bunker, and laughed it off. I don't recall which hole, but it will happen to others as well as my approach was the only safe spot to hit it.
I wanted to smack Mr Rage playing as I was following him and he fckn threw away not only a top 10 but a chance to win.
Have we become so accustomed to making birdie on every hole, when we don't we have to get mad, and slam the course, slam the controller and basically ruin our rounds, ruin our day. Rather than ruin your day, ruin your round, ruin your week, look at what went wrong, you may just find you did not drop a shot at all and others are going to experience precisely the exact same thing.
You are going to encounter some courses from time to time where making par is the new making par and playing for par is the new course management strategy, what a concept, TGCT forcing you to play golf instead of darts.
Grow up people, laugh it off and move on to the next hole. Make lemonade from those lemons.

The real question is if all those strokes were done without breaking the rules of TGCT. If you're going to go big, you might as well hit a few drivers off the green.

Which I generally do most weeks, Boom. Is it wrong to let off some steam on occasion? I disliked the course in practice, I disliked the course when I played. Posted my point and now I'm focused on next week.
Apologies you had to read a little bit of moaning lad.

I sometimes don't think that the rest of the field will also find a certain hole difficult etc and presume they birdie it and it carries on from there. This is finally a turning point for me and i can't let my frustration kill my chances anymore. Me and BoomBoom have been talking and it has been great, he is really a great person to talk to.

Then fair enough, but if someone wants to vent, they should be fine to do so. Its a forum after all.

I'll say the same to you then, you might be getting mad and wrecking your round when you did precisely what most others did as well. If it carries over to the next hole and then the next you are only killing yourself. I don't care what people do on these forums TBH, I'm just trying to help people on the course and help them play with the right mindset. I have seen many people let to much get to them on course and they blow their chances at a good finish. Remember, this video game is 90% mental, 5% math, and 5% ability. Don't let this chit get into your head on the course. For anyone playing the wgc next week, gd luck, I set that puppy up to muck with your head.

Haha can't help but thinking tgc golf psychologist for a game and there being a thread set up in the locker Room for this . how much do you charge? I do know what you mean though pal, once the fume happens it can go downhill very fast unless you chill so there is a big mental part. I don't think it's 90% I think the elite know some formula the rest of us don't and the maths and ability/skill is defo higher than 5% :-)

I was -16 through 2 rounds and feeling pretty good! Maybe a top 10 finish... Went to submit and I realized I didn't register for this week's event! Of course! And since I'm a PGA card holder I couldn't late register.. Sorta pissed but it's totally my fault. So since I had to play the PGA this week I started my first round and made it to the 13th holes and straight up quit. 6 or 7 over I think.. That course was an absolute joke if I'd ever seen one. I really liked Humboldt Bay.. I'm currently hacking it around in the 3rd just to see how I can finish. I suppose I'll be missing my first week of competition ever
