Even though I only shot -4 in the opening round, my only round played to date, I like the course. I left too many shots out there which was my fault and not the course's. The only thing I don't like, and this is true of any course, is that the winner will probably be the best chipper.
I like the idea of conditions changing during the tournament. Forces players to adapt as you have to in real life.
Keep designing, your designs are fun and tough!

I really like the course; it's challenging. But most of all, due to the minimal planting and the abundance of smooth coastline, the course runs smoother on my machine than any other. Didn't like the rain because it affects performance.
One thing - although the fairways are extremely wide, they are firm with quite a bit of slope - often a consistent slope across the entire width of the fairway. What I've been finding is that drives tend to collect in certain areas no matter where you hit. On the flip side of the coin, there are no flat lies, and sidehill lies are one of the best ways to add subtle difficulty to the course.
In a couple of places on the back, I'm not sure there is a way to hold the green. Watched my ball and all three ghosts land in front of the green and run through the back, leaving a nasty downhill chip. Maybe I just need to practice more, and the conditions are the same for everyone. Plus, it was maybe 2 or 3 holes and not the entire course.
Overall though, I thought this was a really nice, challenging course.

Big congrats on your new card. I on the other hand did not play well. I do not blame the course though. I just couldn't handle it. I liked it Antonio. 16 pissed me off though. Not the course to blame I guess but I ended up at the back of the green. Didn't make it back up on the birdie putt. Putted the Par putt way to long running off the green. Had a bad chip for bogey. Missed the double and in for a triple I think. Not my happiest moment. Missed the cut by 4 though so..

Was the green on 16 modified on SAT/SUN setups? I got to Sunday thinking I could play way short and let it roll down but the slopes didn't look like that was an option.

Slope was added to the back of the green from the original to try and keep the ball from rolling off the back with the quicker greens (didn't work since the wind didn't cooperate).

As a fellow italian, scarpacci, I'm proud to say that I loved the course - thanks for being one of the best course designer on TGCT!!

The 13 hole has been good to me. I had a HIO in the Euro tour last week and another HIO this week in the LGGT on the same hole.
