Hey man, best of luck getting your card, just try to make the cut and take it from there that's all that matters for you this week anything else is a bonus. Don't go chasing down Euro hotshot gavlaar124 's target

Chris - I played on this tour for the first time last week and I expect to get my permanent card confirmed today. I hear what you're saying about firm, fast conditions and it will definitely take some adjustment as I am finding out big time! What's in your favour though is the first two rounds are the best scoring rounds, so go out there, make the cut, earn your card and then you've basically got the rest of the season to learn & improve and hopefully be a force next season. That's my plan. All the best out there!

Ok all you Web plebs I've set a target on the ps4 for you to try and beat haha -10 -12 -10 -12 = -44 total you're welcome 4 shots up after the first round with a -14 The greens are pretty soft so I expect some low scores this week. That said, the greens are tough if you aren't near the pin and I sunk some putts I'd miss nine times out of ten. Played the opening hole on R2 with a birdie and the greens felt soft there too.

That's a great round right there. I found the 2nd round easier than the first so what the hell are you gonna shoot there?

Great 1st round man, you are on track to beat the mighty gavlaar124 's total. Although his weekend rounds are pretty impressive as I have heard it's a lot quicker over the weekend. Hopefully some of us Web plebs can show him up this week

Based on the couple of practice rounds I have played here, I might struggle to make the cut this week. I can see where low scores could come from, I just have not been able to turn that into a good score when I played. But I have had bad practice rounds before that turned into good tour rounds before so anything can happen, time to find out what anything happens today. A birdie start was a nice little confidence booster, I did put my heart in my mouth as I hit my short birdie putt harder than I meant to, a warning to take more care and pay more attention with putts on a course where putting will play a major factor in my scores. I thought I played a great tee shot on the second, it looked good for so long, I did not pay attention to the contours of the green and it rolled to the fringe, par this time and another focus warning. I paid attention to the previous contour warning on the third and played a great approach shot using to slope to roll the ball towards the hole. It seems though, there is only room for one warning in my head at once, hit the putt to hard and it hopped over the hole, a birdie chance thrown away. I had dreams of eagle on the fourth as my ball rolled towards the hole, the dreams turned into a nightmare as the ball turned and rolled seventy feet away, wary of my over hit putts, I under hit my eagle putt, leaving it thirty feet short. There's under hitting and there's what the hell are you doing, can't you see it's up a steep slope hitting, I went with the latter. Of course this sent me into a panic and I over hit my birdie putt. I made the par coming back but that hole is a prime example of stupidity on the golf course. Par again on the fifth when my putt stopped three inches short, it was going to be one of those days. The bad putting continued on six and the inevitable happened, a dropped shot, under hitting and over hitting, I just can't seem to get it right at the moment. Stop the press, I learnt from a mistake, on the second par five, I again had a long uphill putt and I actually remembered to compensate for the slope, this learning from mistakes thing is kind of good, I wonder does it work in all aspects of life, might be something worth looking into there, back to one under. I could not build on the over the next two holes, my approaches were good but I am struggling big time to read the greens, add to that, bad putting and one under after nine is the result.
The back nine started with a change, a poor approach followed by a good putt. I will never understand this game. So I said to myself, let's try that again, so on the tenth, I played a poor tee shot and again I made the putt. I might be on to something here, maybe I should mess up the strong part of my game from now on, that makes sense right, sabotage the good part of my game, forcing the bad part of my game to the fore, what could go wrong. Thankfully, the small part of me that could be called smart, took me by the shoulders, gave me a hefty slap across the face and told me not to be a idiot. I played smart on twelve to go four under. It should have been five under, the simplest of putts for birdie, a short straight putt but I refused to believe it could be so easy, I adjusted for break that was not there and missed, I guess the smart side of me just turns up once a round. I parred the next before my best approach of the day on fifteen left me with a tap in birdie putt, one that even I could not miss. I should have done better on sixteen, yes with the wind picking up, the hole played long but it was still a hole with great birdie chance, par for me. I tried to pick up one more birdie over the closing holes and came close on both occasions, one putt just slipping past the hole, one lipping out, so I finished five under.
That was a round that could have been great, my approaches were good, my putting terrible, very disappointed with five under. That was a round that could have been a disaster, so much misreading of the greens, very happy to get away with five under. Your confused? Try be me for a day!

First round winds are varying at about 2-12. They were low until the back nine where it picked up a bit, at least for me. I left a few putts out there, can't seem to get the break right especially downhill. Finished -11.
