Hi guys,
I am here for a visit from CC-E. Just played my extemption tournament which went quite good. I think this course was quite easy to play. Though for me my score was quite good I do not think it will be good enough to stay here, unfortunately.
Here is my result:
#1 - 59 #2 - 65 #3 - 62 #4 - 61
This sums up for a -33, for me a great score, but there are a whole lot of great shooters out there so I do not think this will be enough. But let's see. Anyway I'll be back here.
Good luck and have fun out there.

According to my calculations, you're going to need between 36 and 40 under to earn your card on this one as the sponsor exempt top player is probably going to shoot at least 50 under. Yep, this is gonna be a tough week for a lot of people.

Seriously 23 players 60 or lower including 56,57's. Don't think i'll be in D flight for much longer, can't compete with those numbers, it was fun while it lasted.

I'm not sure if it's just that there are fewer people or what, but right now, CC-C looks a lot less competitive than this!

I guess I was looking at the -10 or better, although that's closer than it first seemed. 26 guys in D, 20 in C. Either way, I'm done I just had a DISASTROUS round 2. I mishit a drive that ended up inside a tree trunk. Had to call it unplayable. My next shot hit treetops and landed in the water. I never recovered from that triple. Ended up with a 68, which will certainly kill any chance of getting into C on my exemption. I don't really belong there anyway, but it was fun to hope! --- However, it's kind of too bad that I'm up on C, gonna probably end up at -25 if I'm lucky and get sent BACK to D, while acido will probably be 5-10 strokes better than me, and deserving of moving UP to D with his score.

Yeah that is a little sad, but hey on the other hand this shows me how hard it is to move up the ranks. I will have fun in CC-E, too because I can see an improvement in my game and that is the only thing that matters for me. I won't stop trying to move up though.

Well, I finished my last practice tour on this course. 28 under. That was my 3rd 28 under so pretty consistent. That's as good as it gets for me on this course. The Saturday and Sunday setups are what do me in. And the 8th, 9th and 10th pin positions and slopes around those pins for the Sunday setup are abominations. One round, on the par 5, I missed a 3 footer and a 2 footer for a bogie after making the green in 2. Worst hole I've ever seen in my life around the pin.
Anyway, 28 under (if that's what I shoot when I go live today) in D Class on exemption won't even be good enough to get me in the top 50% (you'll need 36 to 40 under for that) let alone come within 15 strokes of the top exempt player (estimated 52 to 56 under for the tourney) so I'll be back in E Class next week. Knowing that, there's no pressure going in. I'll just relax and do the best I can. With my new controller, at least I won't be pulling any shots into the next fairway.
Wish me luck.

I played the tourney for fun today with my friend that is on exemption in CC-B and checking the leaderboards on PS4 at the end of it I stumbled upon one particular score. "Unfortunately" the guy who carded is an exempt player from E to D...and I don't know if you wanna know what he scored...

My first 2 rounds were horrible and I'm just playing this out to get it over with. Thank goodness I'll be back in E next week where I belong. But how much better than 14 under did he do?

I don't know the scores of every single round BUT he carded a total of 51 UNDER....which I think is borderline CC-A/WEB level, even for a pretty easy tourney like this. Just to gave you a comparison, on PS4 leaderboard right now he is the TOP CC player. Above him there're just 4 Euro/PGA players. To get promoted to D this week you should score at least 36 under...which I don't know how difficult it could be for the E/D level... He pulled off an amazing tourney on his second event ever on TGCT (last week he ended up 2nd on E with -41). There are CC-A top guys who finished 3-4 strokes behind him; B top-guys who ended up 10-12 strokes behind....and so on.

Yeah, he explained to me why he's in E Class. He did Q school a long time ago, stunk it up, so worked on his game and didn't come back until he was good. No, he has no business being this low but he'll be out of my hair for good after this week. But it wouldn't have mattered what he shot. My scores: Round 1 – 68 Round 2 – 63 Round 3 – 65 Round 4 – 65 19 under. I didn't even make 20 under which was my 2nd worst ever on this course. Between miserable luck (missed an ace by 10 inches and an eagle by 2 feet, and had about 30 putts miss by inches) and one bad shot in every round (usually hole 13 trying to shoot around the tree) I had no chance. I should have absolutely shot 36 under today, but one stroke short of that, if he shot 51 under, and I wouldn't have gotten my card anyway. And if I'd shot 35 under and didn't get it, I'd be pissed as hell. So I'm glad I did this poorly so as to not start throwing furniture out my game room (living room) window. And I wasn't even nervous, especially after shooting 68 in round 1. But I just couldn't get any kind of streak going. Started at least 2 of the next 3 rounds 2 under after 2 holes and then missed one birdie putt after another by inches. The round I shot 7 under should have been 14 under. Anyway, it's over and done with and I'm glad. Next week, In E Class, I'll go back to simply playing not to get a demotion strike. I think I can do that. Let the good players fight for the upper classes. I'm happy where I am.

For what it's worth, I opened a thread in suggestion box that if somebody takes Q School and doesn't compete in his first event within 30 days, he has to take Q School again before he can compete so that he's placed in the tier he belongs.
You can read my reasons there. I'm not going to repeat the whole post here.

Now now gentlemen, I do not want people thinking I'm god like when there are plenty of people who have already shot lower than me in this tournament! Oh and Andrea, it was a measly -49 if you were referring to me But on a serious note. Wag, you hit the nail on the head a couple of posts up where you've said yourself that you missed 30+ putts to lower your score. Imagine if say half or 2/3rds of those fell, which on another day they probably would have. That is why I've finished -49 and you've finished -19. I literally had everything drop for me. I could have comfortably lost 15 shots along the way had I not been on my A game and if you had a little more luck there probably would have only been a couple of shots between us. Consistency is without doubt the key so whilst a 30 shot difference looks big on paper, the margin is certainly not that large. I played the first two rounds of the Web tournament for practice and finished up -25, which looking at the first round scores would probably get me a top 10 spot as we speak. When I tried the Web tournament the previous week I don't think I'd have even made the cut so again, consistency is the word. I've been fortunate thus far too in that the greens have been pretty slow, which most definitely favours me. If we get to play on fast greens then I assure you my scores will not be so low as I simply cannot control the ball. Honestly, don't beat yourself up about it and worry about the likes of me. Once you find that consistency and get a rhythm going, you'll wonder what you were worrying about all along. And as I said under the other thread you created, if I'm shooting like you when I'm 58 then I'd be mighty proud.
