Groundskeeper reports for next week is: Thursday - Sunday Fairways have been watered down and a medium firmness is what they expect Greens have been let warm up and are playing Firm and Fast very Firm and Fast. The course pro has gone around and his opinion is scores will earned and greed will most likely be punished and quoted as saying "You have to play this course, Not let the course play you". Also this week as the start of moving month the introduction of a Dynamic Exemption Cut-line. I'll will name it "The Gavlaar Zone" . gavlaar124 has been the nearly boy of Web since the departure of the the original nearlyboy nantez88 . He has had many top 20s but only the one exemption. With the new adjustment of 10% of the field getting exemptions this month surely Gavlaar will finally get his exemption(s). No pressure Mate .

2 practices here, absolutely loved the Golf course and scored well.... Or at least I think I did. The standard of the web guys will probably have me checking the cut line again next Thursday night though.

I think I'll have an advantage here because of the concrete greens. I grew up surrounded by concrete, no gardens, not a green field in sight. All our childhood games were played on a rock hard surface. Sure this caused bloody knees, broken bones, crushed skulls and so on but we were made of tough stuff, no crying to mammy after a fall. Even our primary school was all concrete, no grass. I know how a football or sliotar (pause while all none Irish rush to google) bounces on the hard stuff, a golf should be no different. So will this help my game next week, probably not. But if I fall on the greens, I won't go running to tour officials for a band aid, advantage me.

I can only imagine the butchering of the pronunciation of sliotar . And just to confirm its not the Irish for ball before that conclusion is jumped to. The Irish for ball is liathróid something else to be butchered .

I swear that my ball often accelerated once it hit the green. I'm almost inclined to skip out this week but I won't. Have to see what this dynamic promotion line is all about. Had a few approach shots that hit 1 foot on the front side of the green and completely rolled off the back side. Never played a course like this in competition so we will see how it goes.

So glad I can take a pass on this one with another exemption chance. Not a fan of concrete greens!

Me and concrete are like oil and water. Nice thing about being in PGA / Euro is sometimes you can choose the tour to avoid those conditions, thought I should probably learn it at some point!

It's a nightmare - whoever rated it as an easy course wants his arse kicking. I've got a 56 at Magnolia,a fast course but a fair one - this course I found far more difficult.
Bone hard greens like glass,I found it hard going. 65,69,69,and a wonderful 73 to put the tin hat on it.
My new lucky cap is on the fire again.

If everyone's averaging under par, it will rate it as easy or very easy. That's the way I always assumed it worked.
