The thing I liked about RGT was we could play every event but because I'm not in the top 40 I can't play next weeks event at trump doral, will the masters this year be limited to top players on TST I played it last year on RGT As Bob alluded to above it's all being discussed at the moment. Would be nice to have everyone available to play The Masters in my opinion.

This week we can't get in the main event as it says invite only Because it's a WGC it's invite only to the top 40. There is a secondary event running alongside it called 'International Players Open'. It will be played at The Players Club, Conklin NY. From next week on, however, we are looking at running a secondary event alongside the main tournament and you'll get to choose which event you want to partake in. The only criteria being the top players will have to play the main tournament as secondary events will be geared more towards the causal TST player. Not that I would have any chance of being competitive in a secondary tournament the way I play TST but I would probably take part. I must admit I feel a bit humiliated by some of the scores the top boys put in, I don't know how they do it.

The secondary tournaments may be ideal for you then Leslie. Slightly easier courses against slightly easier competition. No cuts either, for the first few weeks anyway, unless there will be an outcry for them.

The exception to this is the Majors (The Masters, The Open, or any other traditional invite only type tournament) I would like to see the secondary tournament play the same course (maybe under a different tournament name) for the reasons that you do but that is a decision that hasn't been made at this point. This is a work in progress and for now we need to get the ball rolling and tweak things as we go.

I know for sure I"ll playing in the Secondary Events. Cannot wait! I am out of the top 40 but I think that is likely due to lack of practicing the courses like I should and having missed a few. I'll be playing the main tournaments as I think that would be fair.

I'm kinda confused now. But I signed up and will just start playing each week. How will I know which tournament to register for? I know I can play both, but more interested in the 'I can't putt like this' tour

We are in the process of hammering out the official announcement and will provide a clear indication of which is the secondary event every week. Hang in there. The one thing we will not be able to do is change your mind about enjoying playing the game with our determined settings. That will be up to you to decide. We want you here but we also want you to enjoy yourself as well. Hang in there for more updates. SC

Love the TST & it's great fun playing turn based with my steam buddy Crazy Croc (somewhere in the region of 2 hours per round ). It doesn't bother me I'm not challenging for honours every week - just making the cut is a great feeling. A secondary venue & / or flight would be most welcome though in whatever format to add that competitive edge each week. Hopefully something transpires with the stuff going on behind the scenes from the TST admins. Can't wait - good luck!

I agree with what you said about that competitive edge, really looking forward to this integration.

I like the idea of a less difficult option. I know you are still working on it but do you have any idea yet how the Fedex points will work in determining the Top 40 when there are two different standards running? I'm borderline Top 40 (37th this week) so I'm curious how this might influence which tour I have to play or can choose to play (should I drop back out of the 40 which is quite possible after missing the cut this week ).

I should imagine the announcement will be arriving shortly. 20% of the main tour is the provisional outlook. So 100 FedEx points to the winner when there is 500 going to the main tour winner.

I have to say the the people behind the scenes are doing all they can to make TST enjoyable for players of all skill levels
