I wish i had all of the money i spent on golden tee. Quit playing that game once they added all of the extra features like the back spin button. I once got a 35 dollar check from incredible technologies for winning a monthly tournament. Wish i never cashed that. It would have been a nice conversation piece in a frame on our wall.

Hot shots had a cracking multiplayer set up as well. Live tournaments...
Recreating courses is a great idea!

I used to play a lot of Golfwinks when I was a kid (70's). Pre-digital - it was a tiddly winks version of golf where you could design and play your own hole layouts. Does anyone else remember this?
I've played a lot of different computer golf games but my favorites before TGC were the Tiger Woods games & Sid Meier's Simgolf - "Myshuno".

Did anyone ever get into Tiger Woods on the Wii, especially the Masters version? It was by far the best 'swing motion' game, and the game had a pretty strong online presence as well. Up until this past July or August, I would routinely play against other people live despite the game being released in 2011.

Loved some Hot Shots golf, had one for my PSP and it certainly kept me entertained on long flights. Going way Back, Great Golf for the Sega Master System or Arnold Palmer Golf on Sega Genesis were 2 real beauties.

Lol @ Lee Carvallo.
When I play skins with friends and the last hole is tied we go to the putting green to decide it and call it the Lee Carvallo Putting Challenge.

Had loads of fun playing against my brother and dad on the 3 leaderbords. World class was my favourite and always played "The Gauntlet" course as it was the hardest, but I cant remember a damn thing about the course layout now. Think it had a map of the course in the instructions.
Here's another couple that I had: The Golf Pro 2 with Gary Player on pc with swinging the club using your mouse side to side....my mouse mat wasn't wide enough lol.
Real World Golf on PS2 that had the stupid gloves that you'd attach to a box with wires and it would give you a true swing, came with the 6 inch plastic club to hold lol. Looks like you can get the bundle for $20 on Amazon, I think the in game course was The Belfry.
My Personal Golf Trainer by David Leadbetter on the Wii. Sucked trying to use the Wii Fit balance board with it and trying to hold the position for 5 seconds. I don't think my wrists bent the way he was asking to bend them either lol.

Loved Links golf for the computer. +1 Spent years on this on the PC of the day. Even bought up on all the expansion packs on my first trip to the US in '97 as it was so much cheaper than the fisting we get down under on pricing (some things don't change).
