I'm nowhere near the top. I possibly won't make the cut. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of this week. I liked the fact that just once I was able to be on the top 10 of the PS4 boards, despite not making many birdies. I liked the fact that par seemed like a challenge at times. Perhaps it was unfair, but it was the same unfair for all of us. Yes, some of us have taken more time to figure out how to work around it, and more power to them.
Since I got promoted to the Euro tour I've really learned to just set my own personal reachable goals. Most weeks I'm happy making the cut. I know I'll never be up there with the likes of the Machine and others, and that's totally OK. Maybe I'll sneak into the field of a major or something. That would be pretty cool.
Ultimately this is a video game and one where we have a pretty damn good community. It's also put together by people who put tons of their own valuable time into providing us with a free and fun place for us to play. Sure, the game isn't always the most realistic, and maybe it should be more so, but I'm having a blast here. This is still the game that I want to play the most after a long day of work, or after an evening at the bar, or whatever.
(Just trying to inject some positive vibes before I b%& that my awesome chip-in eagle won't upload for some reason dammit!!)

Wow, I think this is a first for me in a main Euro tour event (one with no competing invitational) where on I don't have to sweat the cut!!!!!
Yippee for me!!!!
As it stands even if everyone else who hasn't played beats my 36 hole score, I am around for the weekend!!!!!!
Sorry for the excitement but it is so rare.
Only problem is that a horrific final round of 78 will more than likely put me in my traditional T-68 by tourney's end. But hey no biggie, I know I don't have to refresh the leaderboard every ten minutes for the next two days, and for that I am thankful.

I wish all who have played rounds would post them in a timely manner. Some of us ( a few strokes north of the cut line ) would like to know if we need to play the final rounds or not. Thanks!

Like I said last week I don't understand why people don't just post there scores once they've played. When you are near the cut line it'd be nice to know whether to bother playing the last two rounds.

In the last 2 tournaments I've recorded an 8 and a 9 on my scorecard. Nothing gets you down like the ball rolling back to your feet around the green I had that happen to me on one of the par threes in the second round the hole was on a ridge, it rolled back twice then the next one rolled over the top and down the other side and finished about 40 foot away I feel your pain, was -3 and then made a triple bogey on that par 3 (the 8th) after rolling back down that ridge twice. Definitely crosses the line into unfair on that one.

Yeah that 8th was ridiculous, was not an enjoyable hole at all, an inch or two wide or short and the balls just gone.

I agree. There are tough holes and then there are simply unfair holes. You can play this hole one of two ways, play off the green for a flop or play to try and get close and IF you end up on the green, you funnel down left and towards the front of the green 30-50 feet away, making your next putt VERY difficult to get up, running the risk of rolling back to your feet or down the other side.
So the highest percentage shot to give you the best chance at par is to MISS the green because the Flop/chip is much easier to stop near the hole.
I have no idea why those that approve these courses love to have holes like these that have no reason to be in a round. I would venture to bet in round 2 and 4 there will be fewer than 3 birdies or better on this hole. Someone aced it but I would bet that was in round 1.

Well my first four Euro rounds are now completed. I was sitting at -9 after two rounds so hope I will be enjoying (if that's the right word) many more. Had a really disappointing 3rd round with a +2 and then got some form back to finish last round with -5. -12 total for this rookie is not too bad an inauguration. I played with Ian Sweeney's ghost on one round, thanks for making me feel inadequate Ian if you ever read this (seriously I dunno how the top guys perform like they do, it's awesome to watch at times). My aim then is to simply keep on improving...love the game and looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

Hey guys. Lots of familiar faces around here. I signed up for the next Euro tournament (I think the course is Goldfinch?) to use my exemption from last weekend. Do you guys know if using my exemption in Euro and getting the promotion automatically gets me an Euro card? Or do I get to choose between Euro and PGA card? Also, since I'm an American, am I even able to get an Euro card? You'll get Euro card - to get PGA card you have to use it in PGA event

If you play Euro Tour on exemption and make the cut, you will earn your Euro card. I'll be watching your scores with interest, best of luck mate. I think I'm right in saying if you get Euro card, you can play in PGA Tour events as well? (I'll stand corrected on that if wrong).
