Just finishing my final two rounds... Foolishly was thinking I could crack top 10 after -12 through 2 rounds. In round 3 I was -5 at one point even with 2 bogeys already on the card... Then came 13... Not a bad teeshot but ended up around 30 feet away on tier below. Rolled it as safe as I could way left and it missed by inches, almost stopped I swear but caught the bank... Off the green down the slope to the right. Next I ran just past and off the other side with a chip. Tiny tap to the hole which I swear ran over it, down off the other side again. Putt up this time but same result off the green. Now faced with the same putt from 2 shots ago, wasn't going long this time so left it in the jaws. Nice quadruple bogey 7. Was soon at E but finished -2. I fear people may say the same about the final day of Tye Dunes when it hits the PGA so I won't say too much against it, but I felt the odd hole went over that fairness line. Loved the course in general though, it was a good challenge for the most part and very well made. That pin on the 13th was ridiculous, absolutely no point in even trying to hit the green on that one. Overall I did enjoy the final two rounds (once we saw the back of those firm greens) despite the odd unfair pin here and there. Having been +3 thru 5 holes of the first round I very pleased with my 18th place finish.

Having been +3 thru 5 holes of the first round I very pleased with my 18th place finish. If I had played a practice round then I'd have probably played it differently, although not sure that there is a safe way to even guarantee bogey. Well done finishing 18th... I only had my self to blame for missing out on my top 25 target. Having my top 10 dream coming to an end I let frustration get the better of me and I went for the carry on 18. I apparently needed par for top 25 but I drifted slightly right and bounced back off the slope whereas a ghost I was playing with made it over. Stupid double bogey cost me in the end. I do love that about this game, much like real golf you can look back on a round and think 'why did I do that?' Well done to Jack on the win... That's some incredible scoring
