Yep agree with this 100% - all about consistency. Having shot -55 I am not going to come into a thread like this and complain about my total (as I remember how annoying I found it when I was stuck in the midfield) - the frustration comes from not being able to repeat your best, or close to it, over 4 rounds. The winner of this tournament will shoot 4 rounds in the 50's, something I've only ever done when the winning score was -75, and that's the difference between winning and not.... Just remember it is all relative. On some courses you can shoot consistent -10 x 4 and win. I keep going back to University Links. I shot a -8 on the final round and had the second best final round and in round 1 and 3 I was at -10 which was also second best for the field. The final round had some tricky pins but I didn't feel it was difficult and yet Brad shot a -1, Brionne -6 and Ian a -6 I think. More often winning is just being that one shot better (thank you albatross on #2 first round) and even more often, more luck than skill. When did you get an albatross? You should of mentioned it

After an openning round of -6 in which I could not buy a putt, I carded a -14 for the second round for -20 at the midpoint. I guess I'll be playing the weekend.
Good luck to my 'virtual friends' who have not played yet.

Started with a 60 (-12) yesterday. I'm fine with that, it was a solid round without any (big) mistakes. Before I'm going to continue in a few hours, I'm curious what the firmness on the greens is on the other rounds. I saw that Rd2 is rainy, so I guess the greens are softer than Rd1? Do the settings for that course change in Rd3/Rd4? I figured the conditions myself somehow while I was on the course and adjusted fine. Pretty solid continuation in Rd2 & Rd3: A 59 (-13) followed by a 58 (-14). Sitting at -39 after Rd3. I really hope I can focus on my game(plan) in my 4th round as soon as I'll start it...

I somehow managed to shoot a 75 in round one. I made the mistake of having my first shots of the day being the first round of the tournament, it would make more sense to have a warmup round of course but I was not the brightest bulb in the box. As it turns out for a full round I completely forgot my normal rhythm and was spewing shots all over the show, I think I hit the water maybe 4 times in the round and there isn't any serious danger of hitting water. I got my act together a bit more for round two with a 62 but knowing that would never make any cut, I decided just to try a few different things out in round 3 and 4, shooting 65 and 63. Grand course but round one was easily the most frustrating moment I've encountered on tour... Onto the next one

Just got finished after a mammouth tournament spree! I played 6 rounds of LGGT, had dinner, then I played four straight TGC Euro rounds. I shot 58,57,61,55 for a -57 total. Probably the best golf that I've played for some time. To think that I started playing LGGT this afternoon and shot rounds of -6 and -3! I was ready to quit, but persevered After that I just caught fire and posted round after round of solid scores. The final round was especially pleasing, I continually knocked the ball within a few feet, the only disappointment coming on 17, where I missed from 6 feet for eagle My tee shot there looked like it had a chance of going in for a long time I actually played the last 11 holes in -12, that is very satisfying. I didn't hole out from distance or hole any significant pitch shots that I can remember? I just played consistent birdie golf. There are still some great players left to go out and to finish, so good luck fellas The course is excellent, created by one of my favourite designers, Phil Harris. I'm surprised that it yields such low scores really. If your approaches aren't spot on then you can be left with some very awkward birdie putts.

I read this, and then I find it truly amazing that I finished ahead of him in any format over four rounds. That was a long term goal I thought I may never achieve! Seriously, excellent play here! Well done!

59,59,59 and wait for it........... 62 still -49 and by far my best finish since joining the Euro Tour 6/7 weeks ago, probably missed 8 or 10 puts but also made 8 or 10 that I could easily have missed, very happy and maybe just maybe sneak a top 10-15 finish.

Great Playing Bradley, don't think anyone is catching that one. Welcome back to the winners circle (most likely). I certainly have to agree with you on the course, really enjoyed it and shocked by the scores it yielded.
Me on the other hand, couldn't putt to save my life this week. Luckily I was able to hole out from decent distances more than any other tourney I've played. Ended with a -46, with a stand out -16 in round 2, which included an ace, 3 hole outs and about 5 putts missed inside 10 feet. I think I've had 5 aces in this game, all have came in tournament play, maybe one day I'll get one in a practice round. Best of luck to those left to play and once again great job on the course Phil.

It looks like I have made my first cut since joining the tour with -18 after 2 rounds. After missing the cut in my first three weeks, it feels really good to be playing on the weekend. Hopefully I can sneak up the leader board a few spots before this one finishes up.
Great job on the course, and good luck to everyone on the weekend.

An awesome -51 total from me! Hitting the bullseye quite a lot with the approach shots leaving many tap in birdies, and a cheeky hole in one thrown in there for good measure! A couple of crap putts and chips, and a ball in the water but apart from that I didn't leave many shots out there.
Hats off to the winner!
