I'm still very much at the stage where my aim is to just make cuts, so I feared the worst when I saw that -18 for round one. My fears were fully grounded as I struggled to a disappointing -5 for my opening round. The second was better, a fairly satisfactory -9, but I have no illusions; -14 is not good enough to make the cut on this course. Just for experience, I played my final two rounds and was pretty pleased with a -12 and a -9 for a total of -35 for the four rounds. Not too bad at all for me, but that crappy first round has made it pretty pointless.

62, 60, 63, 63...- 40 total... If you offered me this tally at the outset I'd have taken it, on reflection I'm slightly dissapointed with my finishing tally. Round 3 and 4 I made a few silly bogeys and Didn't really didn't capitalize on a pretty decent opening two rounds.. The greens are quite receptive and I'm not at all surprised that we've already seen a few sub 50 Under totals .I think we'll see several more before the tourney ends. Good luck to those of you yet to start your tourney and very well played to the pace setters early on.. I'd like to conclude this post by saying Brendan Buckley aka Pugtrubble is a shoddy golfer of mammoth proportions!!

I didn't think the first round was that easy I shot 74 then had a -11 second round missing a five footer on the last for a par. Another missed cut for me. Looking at the scores you guys are shooting I think it's maybe about time I packed the competitive side of this game in as I don't like to be here just making up the numbers. Got loads of other games that I've been ignoring on my XB1 to play. I find it quite baffling and unfortunate that your considering packing in your place on tgc tours... If everyone on tgctours that isn't competitive on a weekly basis shared your view then we'd lose a lot of players I guess.. Gladly this isn't the case.. Don't get me wrong, I understand your frustration to a degree, missing cuts isn't fun.. You obviously had the talent to make it to the European Tour so it's not as if you have no idea how to play the game. And despite a dissapointing opening round for you this week you showed good resolve to bounce back with a solid 11 under.. The best players on the European Tour and the Pga Tour are there on merit.. They play the game to a higher standard than the rest of us on a more consistent basis.. It's up to the rest of us to Try and improve.. I try to do my best each week and a lot of weeks my scores are 20 shots or more off the lead. I'm not competing with the cream of the crop but I still enjoy being on the Euro tour and playing in tourneys.. The question is.. What's your aim? My aim is to try n secure more top 20's n sneak an occasional top 10 if possible.oh and I hope to qualify for majors and and to further improve my overall Scores by becoming more consistent.. I hope you don't quit tgctours Les.. Fight on and you never know.. Things may just turn.. Many would love to be in your position of having a Euro Tour card Good luck

Many would love to be in your position of having a Euro Tour card Good luck Believe me when I say I understand your sentiment. In the grand scheme of things I'm a competitive person and it can be disheartening to get ready to start your first round and see a -55 posted. I suppose I could not read the spoilers but that really isn't the issue. It is the nagging feeling wondering if I'm good enough to play against the elite? But then something happens. Something clicks and I play a great four rounds. The other week I had my best finish on the PGA side ever a 2nd place! What was weird was that I didn't even consider it to be elite rounds, just solid rounds and either others just had an off day or they actually were elite rounds. When I won the Open Championship I had three good rounds and a below average round of -3 in my second round. Granted that round was in hard/firm conditions but considering the top players were shooting -7,-8 it was really a bad round and yet, it was enough. Bottom line is there are times I shoot lights out and don't crack the top 20. There are other times that I shoot good, but don't feel it is great and place top 5. It is all relative. Each golfer is different and there are some courses that fit their game better than others. In some cases you may have a course you feel right at home with but others struggle with. Never know, but hang in there.

I read the spoilers and someone found the first round that easy that he shot -18 under I played good shots in but could only manage +2

There's definitely birdies to be had here. I bumbled through my first round -4 (including a triple on one hole), rebounded for -11 in round 2. I thought -15 would be good to make the cut but we'll see. Want to avoid 3 straight MC's... I'm in a Fallout-induced funk.

ROUND 1 - 59 (-13) missed 2 puts inside 10ft but holed out from 200yds for eagle so balanced itself out ROUND 2 - 59 (-13) again missed 2 very makeable puts and one 92% shot that I'm convinced would have been very close My best start by far on the Euro Tour, those rainy conditions and medium greens really suit my firing at the pin style of play, not the most difficult of courses & I'm convinced someone will shoot close to -60 this week, best of luck to you all :-) Two cracking rounds by sounds of it mate, well played. Keep it up in final two!!

I don't personally think the spoiler thread should be up until the Monday when you can input your scores.

cant compete no more only shot -8 in the first round didn't play well at all couldn't hit a gd shot or make any putts probably the worst round I played for a long time actually I take that back what I should say is the game didn't want me to win this week so many ball squirts and putts only missing because the hole shrunk -8 -15 -11 -17 total -51
really happy to get to -51 after my first round couple of bogeys so many putts just missed and wasn't hitting many gd shots went after everything for the next three rounds and finished -43 for them hoping may sneak a top 10
great playing tom and jack vwp both of u best of luck to those yet to start or finish there rounds

After giving last weeks tournament a miss due to time restricting me to do play just the TST tournament (prefer TST over grid play) I was back in action this week. Played four solid rounds, no great ones. 63/64/63/63. Maybe will make the cut, maybe not. Really not a fan of firmer fairways than green style. Just pick one firmness and go for it, feels far too punishing when you miss the green by an inch and it shoots off. Worst thing HB ever added to the designer was seperate firmness, feels so inconsistent. Rant over, now back to TST :-)

Well played the rest of your rounds anyway you should be close.

Greens and fairways should really be set at about the same level of firmness, its ridiculous when your ball lands a yard short of the green and takes a huge bounce forward.

Finally had a decent round in a comp this season. So relieved. The rest were decent enough. Hoping to make the cut this week . Round 1 -18 Round 2 -11 Round 3 -15 Round 4 -11 Total -55 Good luck all. -18 is only a 'decent' round? I shot a 63 (-9) and felt like I played very well and I'm already 9 shots behind after 1 round. #nochanceofeverwinning

Yeah, I feel if I played my best I could have shot maybe -12/-13. -18 and -15 are ridiculously good, with some of this pins here I'm wondering was the best cause of action to intentionally miss the green and chip in? I did it once, maybe should have done it more. I don't set my goals as winning as the top players are just so so much better. So I just set out to make the cut and then to open up a bit more final two rounds and finish as high up as I can.
