A few things that have really helped me are watching Keith's YouTube videos, you get to hear what he's thinking and then play along with his ghost (turn order enabled) on the weekly tournaments he sets up. I also try to play when I have no distractions, with a cigar handy. PGA Golf Coach's tips are spot on. What console do you play on Wags? If Xbox One, feel free to add me. I usually play for about 30 minutes to an hour each day; so not much time is required. But you have to go into it with the mindset that today you are going to play better than yesterday. Also see what the leader is shooting and decide that you are going to shoot as close to that as possible. Just keep putting, try out DDawgs driving range just to hone in your swing. Good luck! Thanks for the offer but I play on PC. I do go in with the right mindset each day. And there's no question I've improved a lot. When I first started playing my best scores were low 80s and most times I was shooting low 90s even into 100 plus. Today, on an average difficulty course, I can shoot 67. Easy, 64, difficult, 72 to 75 and very difficult 77 to 82. Naturally, I'll have my good and bad days where I'm off with my putting (more than usual) or something else. But the above scores are pretty much what I can expect. Problem is, if I'm shooting 67 or 68 on an average course (like I dd on my first tourney here) there are guys shooting 58 to 62 and I'm still finishing nowhere near the top 70. So relative to what seems like almost everybody, I'm just plain bad at this game even though in real life, those scores would be considered more than decent. I mean how the hell does somebody birdie every single hole in 10 mph winds? That's the stuff that has me scratching my head. I don't see how it's possible.

Hey Wagtunes - The link Pablo provided yesterday is a goldmine, print that spreadsheet off and follow the instructions for a few practice rounds. If you're like me, you'll get worse before getting better but stick with it. Try and adjust loft and draw/fade on every approach/pitch shot. Scratch down some notes while you play, like how much the ball rolls out from various distances, with various clubs and on different slopes. Once you get a handle on these things and can "dial in the distance", there is very little variance in the game and your scores will drop massively.

First of all, yes, people are that good. Seems like most folks that score well are playing on xbox or playstation. Therefore, cheating is unlikely. You can use something to keep you mouse straight on the pc but i don't think that helps much. I have been playing golf games for many decades on many platforms and thought i was good until i tried q school. Missed web tour by 2 strokes. Couldn't even compete in cca for a while and ended up in ccb after some strikes. Took me a long time to final have a tourny where i could rdturn to cca.
The issue i see is that it is hard to get demoted from a challenge flight dince yhere are no cuts and it is hard to get an exemption. Thrtefore, good pkayers are not moving flights like they should. In any week, the top 10 percent or so from ccc and ccd could do well in any flight. I can also imagine thr same is true for web and pro's.

I use an XBox 360 controller on my PC so that's not an issue. If the problem is that good players aren't moving up to where they should be then this needs to be fixed. Guys shooting -40 don't belong in E class.

Im jumping form CC-D to CC-B in 2 weeks, so the system works. Just a lot of good players bunched up around the middle of CC flights right now I think. I was on CC-D, and got an exemption to C. While on exemption I finished top 10 so next week ill be on B. Its a tough course this week, but i would love to be competitive at B and stick around there for a while.

I still think something's not quite right. I finally shot a decent round (round 2) in this week's class E at 6 under. So what do I see? Guys shooting -14. WTF? That's a birdie on every hole but 4. And this is class E on what I feel is a tough course. Anyway, I'll be in Z next week and maybe once I get there the competition will be at my level.

Just keep practicing and dont quit. I felt the same way at first. I see the cc circuit starting to even out in a fee more weeks. The cream eventually has to rise to the top!

Just out of curiosity. How do you know that someone in CC-E shot a -14 in round 2? Only round 1 has been posted and the leader so far is at -7. No one has posted about a -14 in the CC-E forum thread either.

Its probably the pc leaderboard he can see which anyone on that platform that play on and record scores and higher tour players have been known to take part in lower tours just to put their scores on its the same on xbox one and ps4

Well, as mediocre as I've done, so far with just round 1 posted, I'm in 18th place. Maybe I just might squeak into the top 30. I know it's still way too early to tell, but this is my best start so far of any event. Usually I'm close to the bottom even this early in. So there's hope.
