It's a harvest course, there's supposed to be wind, but there wasn't, so the course got destroyed. Blame the wind fix, blame how easy the game is, blame whatever for the low scores. There's an autumn theme next week and then that's the harvest/autumn swing over. They'll be a host of highland themes in the future as they are one of the best themes going today. Be patient. I'm not blaming anything apart from myself, for taking my eye off the ball in R2, couldn't take the birdie chances. I love the wind fix, think its great that the wind is same for everyone, & that it changes through the round, swirling around.

First missed cut of the season for me. The level up here in the web is so good and my -15 through wasnt good enough. Got to be honest though, I couldn't have played a lot better. This course just didn't quite suit me.
Good luck Kenny, cracking score through 3 rounds. Hope you stay in that top 20!

When you say blame the wind fix I thought the wind fix allowed the tournament organisers to set the wind speeds or am I wrong?

Winds are same for everyone which is good, however the average is far too low speeds in my opinion. This is a harvest theme meaning it's set in the fall and should have higher average winds than the norm. It had mostly low desert winds from what I can gather and people capitalised and shot low. Oh well. That's golf.

I thought you were making cut with -15, just squeezed out which was a shame. The way you were playing mid week though...it wouldn't surprise me to see you top end of the leaderboard next week!!

I thought I'd squeeze in but it wasn't to be this week. I've been playing well lately so I'm positive for next week and missing this cut has made me hungrier for a good tournament. I hope that comment doesn't bite me in the ass. Ha. I'll be following the scores to see where you finish Kenny and also for a bit of added interest, my Dad is fighting for a victory this week down in CC-Z so I'm excited to see if he holds his nerve.

Haha yeah autumn but the harvest theme is the American autumn so I succumbed to American lingo. I think you'd be surprised to know the average wind in sept/oct. It's certainly not calm winds that was in the majority of this tournament. Anyway, I'm tired of talking about winds now haha.

The real shame for me was despite not making the cut at -15 (R1 -10, R2 -5) I decided to finish out my final 2 rounds and posted two -11's, leaving me at -37 for the tournament......I'm interested to see how that would rank had I made the cut.

I played the PGA track this week and it was very easy, easier than this one.
Yup, I was up on exemption this week and could not believe how easy the course was. Shot a -18 and missed the cut by a stroke (to be honest I thought I'd miss the cut by a lot more, -18 was not a good performance).
Its disappointing that HB hasn't given us the option for tournament creators to set some sort of wind range for these tournaments.

Is it actually the case that different theme's tend to have different winds? Didn't know that was the case.
I think its a great idea in theory to have a bunch of similar courses as its more realistic... but I found I've got a little tired of the same style of courses week after week... they kind of are running together in my mind and I can't remember specific tournaments anymore.
Just my two cents.... I know picking courses is a thankless job and no matter what someone is going to complain, so keep up the great work!

Just finished my rounds - pretty happy this week. Pity in R3 I was a bit off with approaches, and managed "only" a 62 (-10) which threw me off the race for the top spot. At the same time though that could've been a plus - tension went just a tiny bit low and, even after an ugly R4 start (-6 in the first 11 with TWO pars at the first two PAR 5's) I managed to step up my game and get away with a nice 58 (-14) - with a tad of luck too cause I holed a 200 YD shot -47 for the tournament which I hope will grant me an exemption (I don't wanna say it too loud)
