It was moved I believe as it was causing issues for people playing TST. After a fairly heavy stag do/bachelor weekend I was late starting this week. I was off work on Tuesday and played golf pretty much all day. I had other tournament to complete. My play was actually good. When I came to practice for this weeks tour everything was fine apart from my putting as explained earlier. I know from past experience that practice can be misleading when it comes to putting. What I didn't expect was to lose my swing. It has happened in the past but after the latest swing updates I thought I had it pretty much nailed. Huge hook on the first put me in the heavy rough. I managed to escape with par. I then hit the birdie trail but it only lasted 2 holes. I only managed 1 more birdie on the front 9. I had another 2 huge hook/slices. Just no good!!!! -3 at the turn. Still in it but I had to start to play like I know I can. Another huge hook into heavy rough on 10. I quit my round and try a few practice swings in the GNCD. Every one straight! Back to my round, I have to play out to the fairway, put in a great approach shot but miss an 8 foot putt, bogey!!! Par 5 next, I must make birdie minimum. Nope!!!! 3 putt bogey. -1 after 11. Total disaster. I actually stayed calm, trying to tell myself there are more important things. I managed to get a small amount of pride back in the closing holes making 4 birdies to bring me to -5. I'll probably need a -10 to make the cut and I can't see that happening. After a good start to the season I see my form slipping backwards when most other apart from yaters are going forward with their game. I was never in danger of missing the cut on weeks 1-3 but now it looks like I will miss the cut for the 2nd week in a row. Now all of a sudden rather than talking about going to the EURO tour I'm looking back to CC-A. This really is a strange game

Hang in there man. Just as fast as it starts to go away, it comes back.
Funny, when I first started playing this game I sucked (obviously as I am sure most do). I did the whole tips and tricks thing and yardage chart and all that. I got much better but I was calculating each shot down to the specific yard and then referencing the yardage chart to find my exact distance. Time consuming but it helped my score.
After awhile, I was comfortable with the game and my own game was getting pretty solid. I stopped using the yardage chart (form the most part, I will still look it sometimes if I am not sure on pitch shots). I make some very quick calculations in my head, pick my club, move my marker a little willy-nilly like, maybe use the shot shaper box a little (if I loft, it is on the fly with no specifics) and then I hit it.
I say this because I have played much better since doing this. The reason is my putting game has improved tremendously. If I can get it within 30 ft. of the hole, I have a legit change to make it. Putting is where it's at. If you are not putting well, try adjusting a little bit more on the side you missing on. When you line up your putt, take out or in just a little more/less than you think.
I am rambling at this point but what I am basically trying to say is, play a round not taking it too seriously, take your time but not too much time calculating shots. Play on feel and get in a rhythm. If you already do this, just keep playing and it will come back.

You are a good player. At least you know when to stop playing and give it a break. If I'm playing awful I just power through with all 4 rounds to get it over with. -10 is absolutely doable on this course. Friday is in the rain (though I don't think that affects anything - you'd think it would make the greens slower at least!). I finished my last 2 rounds last evening after not playing the game for 4 days. No practice rounds or swings. I just dove in and started. I missed birdie putts on 1 and 2 that were 6 and 8 feet. I really suck at putting - it's a crime watching me play this game. But I managed -7 and -8 for the two rounds, leaving me -31 for the tournament and probably top 70 if I make the cut. Hang in there Deano - I'm not interested in racing you to the CC-A!

I am quickly losing interest in courses where a -15 through 2 rounds is borderline cut, which is where I sit after a -10 & -5.
Last week was the same old crap, birdie fest galore. Now this week you basically need a -10 every round to even hope to keep within striking distance. I honestly don't see my interest in TGCT web.com continuing if every week is the same harvest themed birdie-fest type course. It's fine once in a while, but it sure seems like the last 3 courses have been very similar (and so mediocre, I really dislike the greens on this canuck attempt). Where's the links tracks or highlands courses?

It's a harvest course, there's supposed to be wind, but there wasn't, so the course got destroyed. Blame the wind fix, blame how easy the game is, blame whatever for the low scores. There's an autumn theme next week and then that's the harvest/autumn swing over. They'll be a host of highland themes in the future as they are one of the best themes going today. Be patient.

Where's the links tracks or highlands courses? It's a long season mate and we will all have good weeks and bad weeks. There will be a variety of courses throughout the year so don't get too disheartened. Some courses you'll like, some you won't, some courses you like, others maybe won't!! We all just need to accept that and try and perform well regardless.

Thanks for the encouragement lads. Unfortunately it was not to be. I actually sorted my swing issues out by changing controller. Maybe it was in my head or maybe one is a little more worn although I've had them for the same time. Even with the swing working better I wasn't able to get close as much as I hoped. Same only story on the greens, too much slope for me to be confident. I seriously need some coaching on how to putt on the more sloped greens. Again I was -3 at the turn but I think I bogied 11 this time. This time one less bogey and one less birdie in another -5 On to next week where hopefully I can turn this for around. I'm falling down the money standing and need to get on it asap.
By the way, people saying this course is easy are going to find pretty much any course easy so unless we want to play PGA difficulty courses I don't know what we can do.
Got look to all of my fellow competitors, I hope you make the cut and climb as high up the leaderboard as you can.

I played the PGA track this week and it was very easy, easier than this one.

I checked the leaderboard today and noticed my name not there. I realised that I didn't even submit my 2nd round score so I'll get a DQ. Just so everyone knows it was a genuine mistake and I'm actually gutted that I'll have it against my name. I've never done that before!
