Something keeps saying to me that what happens in the upper tiers shouldn't affect the lower ones. I'm struggling to put into words what I want to say.

Something keeps saying to me that what happens in the upper tiers shouldn't affect the lower ones. I'm struggling to put into words what I want to say. While I agree...demotion strikes in my opinion should be score based..not tier based. It's 100% evident the tiers are not balanced correctly. Every week you have the winning score in CC-D matching or bettering winning scores in the higher tiers. Something has to give to give the average players a slice of the pie. I feel if demotion strikes were score based instead of position based..people may stick around longer and play the game. People are quitting this game..that's no secret. Make demotion strikes score based..you may save a few players. CC-A this week had under 70 players...someone could have shot 100 over par and not received a demotion strike...is that fair?

I have to agree with you 100%, it would certainly make me feel better as I now go into tournaments knowing I am going to get a demotion strike and will soon be down in 'Z'.
