Sounds to me like you max lofted by accident, Terry. I've never had similar happen in any of the hundreds of rounds I've played, unless it was clearly my error. May have.....I checked twice before the swing though, and could have sworn it was just below third loft line... Of course I am getting old... LOL
Finally finished all rounds, man did I leave a bunch of shots out there....
1st 63 (-9) 2nd 62 (-10) 3rd: 66 (-6) hit two in the water on two different holes... Cant believe I even finished under par...Strange round 4th: 64 (-8)
-33..... Oh well.... Maybe Ill at least make the cut
good luck everyone

Well for some reason I lost my brain midway through Round 4. I was battling right with the current steam leader and I think the pressure got to me. All in all though, very happy with my scores.
R1 - 61 (-11) R2 - 62 (-10) R3 - 61 (-11) R4 - 66 (-6)
Total -38
Might be pushing top 10. At the very least, top 20. No?
EDIT: Changing my prediction. After looking through the early scores posted in this thread, I think you need to break -40 just to get a Top 20 score this week. Good grief guys! At least I'll be getting SOME sort of $$$.

What's the general opinion on here on using ghost balls during tourney rounds, a help or a hindrance? I tend to blitz my rounds early and then have an agonising wait until the next one starts and hence I've never bothered using them. Don't use them, I find it is distracting for me.

Props to Bross2387 on his 3rd round... was -17 going into the last hole but ended -16 I think. Was it 2 (or even 3) hole outs and then I think maybe 2 or 3 others that almost dropped too. That was ridiculous!
I've only been here since August, but I'm guessing even the top guys on tour don't approach that too often

I never use ghost balls when doing my proper rounds. I find it distracting. I use them when practicing though.
As usual I'll be doing my rounds tomorrow to Thursday but I'm not going to be on the forums until the world series is finished. I can't watch it live and have to wait until the night after(UK)Got my 2nd spoiler today on the shout box. I might be able to use tapatalk just to follow threads and not look at it but I don't know. Going to miss the updates if I can't.

Oh, and for those of you on PC: are there any others here that still use a mouse after that mouse update? I can't pinpoint my swing issues and it's so damn frustrating. In practice last night, I couldn't go more than two holes without suffering a sub 85% swing. This has pretty disastrous effects when there's heavy rough around, not to mention water. Luckily this wasn't a problem for me today. With the putting issue basically when I hold down the left click and begin to pull my mouse back, the putter goes off before I even have a chance to move my mouse forward. Sometimes this gives me a fractional distance of what I'm looking for putt but sometimes this ends up being a 0 foot putt like i experienced a few times today. If the fix is as easy as replacing my mouse with a current one, I'd like to hear what you guys are using and whether you currently have any swing or putting issues. I am down to around 5 shots per tournament where I mess up with one of those shots. I have redesigned my swing so I rarely get less than 100 (unless planned) but occasionally I hit my old style swing per reflex and then it goes wrong and I get somewhere between 80 and 98 percent. Unfortunately these shots can come at a critical time so they cost shots - other times I get away with saving my par. Sometimes I play with and sometimes without - makes no difference to my focus so all just fun. Last tournament I was chasing the Ghost of mrkuo which was fun. It all went pretty well untill 15th in round 3 where a 'golf brain hemirage' turn a par save from 6 feet into a 4-put tripple bogey and that was it. I got a few strokes back on round 4 with a 66 but still ended up a couple of shots behind.

Well looks like ill finally get some dollars into the bank account but not much.
After 3 weeks of the wife on the game and selling my worldly possesions to keep myself been able to affoard the entry fee I had 2 good opening rounds.
Round One started with an eagle which helps but got round side on the second (as I did every round!) 3 stab bogey. played every other hole well had a handfull of lips finished -10.
Second round my approaches where ropey but my putter was on fire complete reversal of round 1 but same result -10.
Third round got a random 92% on the first only made par and got another on the third water splash double. My Wife seeing I was on the verge of pulling the tv off the wall decided it was a great time to talk continuously about Christmas presents! To sum up third round -4 and I slept on the sofa.
Round 4 will commence once by blood pressure has reached an exceptable level.
Happy I should make the cut but very annoyed a top 25 is most likely out of reach now.
Role on week 5.

Don't give up just yet and let round 3 stop you. I had similar experience on last tournament where I messed up in round 3 and dropped back to 53rd spot. Started round 4 being 2 over after 7 holes and thought all was lost and i'd end up at the bottom. Don't know what happened but was -8 on the last 11 holes and got me a 66. With tough condidtions in round 4 it moved me just into top 25 for the first time on the web-tour. Good luck on your final round.

Good man Moe some nice shooting on your opening two rounds anyway pity about your last round, just try and put in a good final round and try and finish as high as possible, roll on to next week after making the cut anyway that is a big improvement on the last 3 tournaments for you. I noticed from reading this thread that a lot of people are finding the water on this course due to ill timed 90% swings, I really do wonder if there is something in there like ball squirt causing this.

Stuff like that can ruin a tournament and even a marriage for some of us haha.

Impossible to say for sure, but the fact it happens more often on a shot with water lends me to believe it's human error due to difficulty of the shot. Could be completely wrong. My Q would be does it happen the same way in practice(as often)? Couple of these par 3's this week are not exactly easy with such limited surface and wind

I was on fire, had two hole outs and made every putt I looked at. That 18th tee shot got me and I limped home with a bogey to shoot 56! Really fun round tho.

Couple of these par 3's this week are not exactly easy with such limited surface and wind It was on the 3rd which has a massive green its one of the easiest holes anytime ive played it I have birdied it to my knowledge even had a hole in one in practice. I cant remember getting a random 92%er in a one off round always seems to happen when there is water in a tour. 99 shots out of 100 ill hit 100% and maybe 1 98% if even that. A random 92%er comes out of no where on occasions. I shot 62/62 then had one on my second shot on the first and then another on the 3rd tee another ghost ball joined me for a drink with very similar trajectory. I would be an open guy about my game. I am my own worst critic which can be my downfall but in these instances i know my swings were consistent and were down the middle of the red line. The horse has bolted cleared 2 fields and trampled a rambling granny at this stage so it doesn't bother me it just seems strange and i've read other peoples threads that sound very similar. #ConspiracyTheory

My Q wougame.e does it happen the same way in practice(as often)? Couple of these par 3's this week are not exactly easy with such limited surface and wind I don't know it's hard to say but I always make sure when hitting over water that my yardages are spot on and I'd understand if I under club by mistake but the fact that it gives you 90% swing and puts it in the water when a 100% swing with the same club will clear the water comfortably just seems random. I know its a difficult shot but like real life you make sure you clear the water and play to be past the pin rather than short just to be sure. I normally have no issue with 90% swings and I don't seem to come up short of a green that doesn't have a hazard over a 90% swing at all in this game
