You're entitled to play this game any way you deem fit and people should respect that. Me personally if i was regularly finishing top 5 I would still choose to stay in web all season and promote at the end as that is the way I prefer to play the game. Yeah but if you are finishing top 5 all the time and not going up it's unfair on people who want to go up as your taking 1 out of 5 spots. I'm sorry but what's the point in not wanting to better yourself or do you just want to collect as many trophies as you can?kind of big fish little pond strategy, I just don't get why anyone wouldn't want to play PGA/EURO and compete with the best players in the world. Sorry if I'm coming across bad it's just my opinion and obviously you are entitled to yours.jayzuz wouldn't want to finish 6th to you anytime soon haha It has nothing to do with collecting trophies. I entered the web championship and I want to earn my right to play in the PGA by finishing in the top spots at the end of the season. Not because I happen to finish top 5 in one event.

When you guys get into a top 5 or win then you can decide for yourselves to take an exemption and play up. Until then stop judging and bullying people into feeling bad for not wanting to move up after THREE weeks on Web. I get what everyone is saying but you are not the rule makers and the rules are clear, it is a choice, so let it go. Yeah its getting silly now a line needs to be drawn, everyone that is wanting people to take exemptions(myself included) should respect peoples decisions not to move up as there is no rule in place saying that they have to, also all people that don't want to take exemptions respect the other sides right to their opinion and stop making people out to be bad guys for expecting people to want to test themselves at the highest level.

Very happy with my 63,63 start - managed to sink a lot of 10 footers which helped. Last week was in a similar position then blew out so looking to hold my nerve this time! Didn't hold my nerve Two even par rounds to finish doh!

Started round 3 off -3 through 6.. then proceeded to stick my head up the rear end and played 7 - 13 an impressive +6 before finally recovering and playing the last 5 in -4 to squeak out a -1 71 in round 3.
I hope I finish top 5.. I'm clearly ready to move on to the PGA tour.

hi all! i am 1 of the guys that got put up here from CC-b also and glad to be here i could not compete with the guys on the CC-a because the courses seemed to easy for them and lots of low scores that i don't shoot. I like it here with the tough courses and big changes i may have played my best 4 rounds this week with a -12 and was happy. the course was very tough i played 6 or 7 practice rounds and my best was a +1 so when got to the tournament i was not even nervous and made the cut i was so happy. then today i shot my last 2 round and was back to playing like my old self. it was fun, the greens were hard for me to put on don't know if i made a handful of 1 puts per round and just kept watching all the ghost balls just drop in. will have to get better to stay up here for the year.

Good man that's the spirit recovering like a true PGA pro after a tough stretch of holes like that to get it back under par leaving you within touching distance of the top 5 and setting yourself up for a good final round ;-)

I will take exemption(If I ever get one) when I feel ready to go up. I'm loving the rivalry here on this tour. My aim is of course to get the to EURO tour and compete with the best but I feel have some way to go before I can do that.
My point has been proven by the fact that I struggled to make par on my of my practice rounds for this tricky course.
Here is my write up.
Round 1 I finally had to make the plunge and start, I don't normally play rounds at the weekend so I had 2 nights left to play 4 rounds. Practice was still not going well, I had little hope of qualification.
Unfortunately the API has not collected my data yet so I go off memory. Feeling will be accurate, scores will not be.
Apart from one hole where I scrambled par I was playing as good as I ever had on this course, I gave myself around 6 good birdie chances on the front 9. Unfortunately I missed them all. I did make a bogey on one of them though. +1 though 9 and yes, my weekend was now going to be free. Not resigned yet though. My play got even better on the back 9 and in all honesty I was disappointed with a -4. I would have taken that before the round begun but I played so well, had so many chances, I said to me wife(Who I will refer to as caddy from now on) afterwards that it should have been a -10. Maybe this course is easy after all? My putting let me down but mainly because of my usual failings and not issues with the greens.
Round 2 Confidence is high, never mind the cut, a top 25 place is in my grasp. I have cracked the course. Birdie on the 1st, yes. I was thinking how I've got it. I had a moment of rage on the 2nd I think. 145 yards to go, I had the club which went the same distance (7 iron?) and lofted up a couple of %. Wind was to the side. Inexplicably it went well short into the bunker. I have no idea how or why. I ended up taking a double bogey and then had another bogey on the next hole to be +2. I told my caddy that my chances had gone. I was never going to turn this around. Did I think that? I'm not sure. Did I play like that? Hell no.
I missed chances yes but I put myself back into contention. I was something like -2 with 8 to play. Disaster struck on around about the 11th and 12th. I can't remember what happened but I was back to even par with 6 to play. I had my second rage moment, this time blaming the greens. I told my caddy my chances were gone, I told myself my chances were gone. I needed a minimum of 4 birdies in 6 holes, never going to happen. I just had to keep my head together, I could still edge out a couple of my rivals.
I got a birdie on 13, then 14, then 15. Wow, what had just happened? I was sitting -7 with 3 to play. 1 or maybe 2 birdies would do it. This could still go either way. I had to play solid but still need to pick up birdies. The next 2 holes both worried me, I would be happy with one birdie and one par. That's exactly what I got. Onto the 18th -8, my target to make the cut. (I was thinking in my head that it might go to -9) Now to the 18th. How do I play it? What sort of shot do I want? I play the 3 wood to leave me short with a possible 50 yard pitch shot but it runs further than I think. I was in the rough about 35 yards out. Come one, one good flop shot and I should get in, one really good flop shot and I will certainly be safe. I played it well, really well. 5 foot putt for birdie. I told myself, don't hit it too hard, don't three putt. I got it in. The elation and relief poured out of me as I sank my head to the ground and shouted "COME ON". My caddy thinks I've gone mad and asked if there any reason for my previous outbursts. I think she pretty much wants to be in a different time zone when I play my last 2 rounds. A rollercoaster of a round, what makes this game and tour so great and what makes courses like that so great and so bad at the same time. I survived! Am I ready for the EURO tour? NOOO!! I love the courses here, I love my fellow competitors. I have found my level. I have found my family.

Myself personally and I would say the rest that are of the same opinion are simply voicing just that an "opinion". I understand It is as per the rule its a discretionary choice but In my opinion if your good enough for to kick it with the Big Dogs then you shouldn't be able to op out.

Sitting on the cut line at -8. Looks like I'll miss my 3rd cut in a row to start the season. Having been occasionally competitive in CC-C last season, I'm not sure that I'm up to the task in Web.com. Still am enjoying it, but the wife says I have to make some cuts and make some money!!! We'll see how the next tourney goes. Someone said Harvest Hills was an easier course....I practiced it yesterday and rage quit twice. I'm fully expecting another week with no fake $$. Sorry Honey....

You'll have your fingers crossed until tonight! It's quite a tight leaderboard. You are only 3 shots off a top 25. I hope you get that money so your wife can blow it on an necessary shopping spree.
