Haha, don't think I quite did enough this week. Had the chance to make a run on Sunday and blew it.

Haha, don't think I quite did enough this week. Had the chance to make a run on Sunday and blew it. So did i. Was 2 shots ahead of you after 36, then 2 shots behind after 54, then remained 2 behind after 72. Lots of water balls on Sunday for you lol. I made three silly bogies.

Played with both your ghost balls boys. Was good fun. I managed to beat Tyler by 1 shot which I'm pretty chuffed about! Haha

Played both Hammo and Duke and started well but kept slipping behind. Was lucky to finish E after round 1. Massively out played and definitely not good enough to compete up here! Amazed at how many putts both guys made, especially for saving par. Sadly I didn't and 3-putted a fair few times! Once I miss this cut I'll only need one more before I can go (hopefully) compete a mid table finish!

Once I miss this cut I'll only need one more before I can go (hopefully) compete a mid table finish! Playing here has really exposed and highlighted for me all my weaknesses in my game. I have learned new shots, new ways to read greens, learned to chip better. Those uneven lies and impact is a definite need to figure out. I definitely need more work on my game. I'm making cuts, but 2 of the first 3 weeks so far I'm watching those cuts. I spent 2 hours yesterday reading about aimpoint. Amazes me while some say the physics is off, how accurate the game really is.
I watch with interest the twitch feeds and pick up new tips everytime I watch. I have improved my putting, but it still is not at a level of the big boys. Watched Scott play a couple of rounds last night and I picked up a ton of information. Even with the Doyley waggle, he still laps me out there.
Bottom line, you and me are dropping shots to the leaders, where are those shots going, I know I know, the trees, but seriously, try and figure out what can be improved, build a range and go beat some balls. Have fun out there.

I may have reached my ceiling for the time I'm prepared to commit to this game. My putting has improved immensely but the pressure of lagging from anywhere on the green or holing everything inside 30ft is too much. Granted, I gifted too many shots in round 1. A sensible head would have resulted in -4 rather than E. The top players here rarely miss. Soul destroying when they hole that 28ft putt and you miss that 8ft one! Still, can't really complain for the amount of time I spend playing. Whinge over! Must admit you were on fire during Web so surprised you haven't carried that form over to PGA. Not long to wait, I feel!

Competition here is quite a bit stiffer, courses have been 2 birdie fests and 1 really tough one this week. I'm hoping for my best finish, I may be only 10 or 11 shots off the win this week. Easily know where those went with 12-16 bogies and a couple dozen missed short birdie putts. My putting is weak in comparison to these top guys. I think I found something with putting that may take a putt or 2 off my score per round. I have been mainly guessing with putting and hoping I'm right and going mostly on feel and memory. Distance control is good and better then the big boys I think, but my line is a little off. If I can find a way to do feel along with a more educated guess I think I can make a break through. Also my heavy rough recoveries while good, are not consistent enough to be up on top of the leaderboard. My chipping as well, while good, is not up there with the big boys either.
Its a work in progress, as long as I can keep making cuts and keep improving I think it's only a matter of time before I make the front page.

This course will likely expose the weakest part of my game.. chipping. But that is why I like the variety of courses we get. The best players rise over a full season of events among many different types and challenges of courses.
This one I am simply aiming for making the cut. After that its all gravy.

Assuming I make the cut, just threw out a nice -10 in Round3. Should be in shouting distance going into day4.
