Hi Adam, several people have fallen into the trap of veering left of the green on 17 like you did. It's incredibly difficult to get out of that steep rough. We were talking about it before the week started and I hit a ball in there to see what I could do to get out in one shot. Even though distance was only 16 yards with a 10 feet elevation change, I used a PW 55 yards. Lofted up one bar and got it out in one shot. On my previous attempt, I used the 35 yard flop shot and had to swing it about 4 times before I got out. Definitely a frustrating part of that course.

If anybody finds bits and pieces of clubs on the 10th hole... those are mine. I've given up on how to play that hole.

I think you guys will be safe. It will be a shame if you get bumped and don't get to count that -14/-15 round. I am looking forward to seeing that scorecard! It was a -14, which may get me the record this week for biggest disparity between best and worst round. Jared has the fifteen under. Hope you're right! we are tied for that honour Jimmy, (57-68) & (58-69), but I win with the crappest countback

What I hear when I am playing a country club social on xb1 and in a party talking is "you know their not really your friends" like their make believe. Lol! Also, me and everyone playing are also "nerds." They just don't understand sometimes. Oh man. I've had a group of REALLY close friends for 5 or 6 years now that I met playing NHL on Xbox. I think it was the '08 iteration where we "met" on a forum. We now typically do annual vacations somewhere, and I was in the wedding party of one of the guys. I've been 2 for 3 in girlfriends who have understood it. One just couldn't wrap her head around the fact that these were real people I was talking to.. in 2002 I stumbled across a server called Belfast Killers, in a game called Delta Force Landwarrior. 13 years later we all have moved on, but I we still keep in touch. In that time we have had 2-3 meetings a year all over the country (my favourite by far was the 1st time we went to Belfast) & went to one guys wedding. My wife didn't understand to start with, until we actually met them. Great times

The 9th and 10th on this course have been brutal for me throughout practice & rounds 1&2. I bogeyed the 9th twice & the 10th once, good for +2 on those 2 holes, hardest stretch on the course for sure and a solid way to ruin a round right quick.

Played it in practice the draw around the back of the trees line landed fairway made bird. Rd 1 Went for same line got put off by playing partner russling in his bag and caught a tree top ended up buried made double. Rd 2 Because I learn nothing went for it again got snagged in the heavy rough shattered my wrist trying to dislodge it made bog. Rd 3 Tried fade around from other side small miss hit bunker but had a 82% lie so whipped out the 3 Iron and stuck it into 5ft made Bird. Rd 4 Decided play it "safe". Ended up with a wood in over the back chip ran like a dog from a hose missed put back made bog. My Conclusion the way to play it is drive it into the bunker, Club up, close your eyes and pray.

I can't remember how I did so I'd have to wait for Friday night to find out. Not that I'm anywhere a first place though so it wouldn't really matter.

Final round:
Started off struggling. Just made par on 1st and 2nd, was on the GIR but missed putts badly. Hit a good run next with 4 birdies in a row! 4 pars followed to halt a run for a possible top 5 and exemption. I made a good pars at 10 and 12, I've struggled on those. I birdied 12 then on 15 I hit the hill after the hole and it did roll back a few inches. It was enough to leave a birdie attempt which I was able to make with great relief. I struggled with the wind on 16 and 17 but scrambled par. I then got a good birdie on the last to finish on -8 which was solid but not enough to drive up the leaderboard. I'm hoping my score is enough for a top 10. That would be nice. I know people's frustrations with this course but after a few practice rounds it really was about course management, it was possible to avoid trouble.

Had a swing issue in the 2nd round on hole 2 and went over the green. Stuck in the hill I tried to use declare unplayable but nothing but water behind. No shot or loft adjustment worked and couldn't hack my way out. Hate to give up but not a fan of this course and taking 11 on just poor design is not worth it. I had this happen on a practice round as well on the 17th or last par 5. No place to go back and couldn't get out.
Will make my web.com debut next week like originally planned. Only gave this a shot today when I saw the late registration thread. I am a full time player on the True Sim Tour(formally the RGT).

Nice rounds DH. I think we might have ended up tied. Interested to see what the scores look like after the 3rd rounds go up but I think a top 10 is doable.

I finished my last round -4 to put me -19 for the tour (assuming I make cut at -11)...
I hope I never have to play this course again.... especially the 10th hole (which I bogied again)

One of these days I'm going to get a par on hole number 4. I think its the hardest hole I've played yet on TGC tours. I have 3 bogeys through 3 rounds and they're all on that hole.
