What you think you gonna score with 100% FIR and GIR? Around 60 maybe? No... not at all. Started with a ludicrous round of 68 (-4) and no putts falling at all. I never ever was in trouble of playing bogey anywhere, but I just couldn't get it into the hole... again. If I don't shoot a miracle a windy Rd2 (15mph), I'll gonna miss the cut for sure! I need to find a way to get that feeling on the greens again before the Tour finals are about to start... good damn it.

This was an odd tournament for me - I don't know how hard the course is quite honestly!
In the non-existent 2mph winds of round 1, I hit a 67, which was a good 2 or 3 shots more than "good" for me, in those conditions.
Round 2, much trickier due to winds, and I think 69 was okay.
Still fairly strong 11mph winds in round 3, and I couldn't miss anything - hit a 61!
Back to the strong winds in Round 4, and a 70.
So, I dunno, I think I'll make the cut just about, and then who knows. Hopefully my 3rd round will mean a half decent week.

65-70-65-70. The main difference between my rounds of 65 and my rounds of 70 were my putting. I managed the wind fairly well compared to how I normally do but I had a few too many 3 putts to really post a challenging total and I generally struggle to consistently get the ball close enough to set up enough birdie chances to win at the best of times. Another steady tournament I guess, providing I make the cut.

Shot -27 which will be another solid finish. But, another case of what might have been for sure.
Round 1 – Started poorly (+ 1 thru 3), then had 8 birdies in 11 holes, then parred the last 4. 65
Round 2 – Amongst my best ball striking rounds ever this one. Throwing darts in those high winds but had a cruel round the hole lipout from 6 feet and missed another two from 9 feet. Another 65
Round 3 – Started hot -6 through 9 then went a bit cold, bogied the last. 64
Round 4 – Hit and Miss. Different wind direction made it a bit tougher. 67
Pleased with my recent form – becoming a regular feature at the top end of the leaderboards. But got to start making some putts if I want to do any better.

This seems like a course where you need to loft it up ridiculously in order to stop the ball, as it is firm and the pins are quite aggressively placed.

65-68-63-67 for -25...for some reason this course and I got along well. My putting was the best it has been since January.
Except now that I'm writing these scores in, I'm worried I accidentally put in 65 instead of 67 for round 4, which means possibly my second DQ for being a moron.

Today was the day I realised I'll never win a big tournament on this game. I really have no idea how anyone could shoot -15 with those firm greens. On some holes the pin is cut right at the front so the best I could do was leave a putt of 25ft+ and I'm lucky if I make 1 in 4 of them.

Only shot my first round so far, a thoroughly mediocre 70 given the 65 I did in practice, and considering the light winds. Not looking forward to 15mph in R2 at all.
Also, had to take a chip on the green on Hole 14 due to a big chunk of fairway/fringe in line with the hole. Looked up the rule and I'm 99.99% sure I haven't broken it, but check out my ghost as necessary.

You shittin' me? Tom Humphries shot -15 on that rock hard beast in Round 1! All I can say is "I'm not worthy!"

But it's a damn fun game nonetheless. You could give me one of those rigged up straight shot controllers and I couldn't touch -15. It's amazing.

-15 on those (firm) greens is... well, I can not even find a word for that!
Hats off, Mr. Humphries!

Diagonal 15mph winds, for whatever reason, is my perfect storm wind. Diagonal winds aren't a problem. 15 mph winds aren't a problem. But a 15mph diagonal wind? My head explodes and I just can't adjust to it. Round 2 had a 15mph diagonal wind. Round 2 was, in a word, "Unpretty".
