I think you got your numbers wrong there Tyler. 60-58-60-69= -41

63-67-64-75 for me..if I make the cut, I won't be contending. Round 4 in high winds was very difficult.
This is my course and I take full responsibility for the conditions in round 4. This was my first time ever creating multi-pins, and clearly I didn't do a good job and the discrepancy between the first 3 rounds and round 4 was quite large. I did test it and play each round a few times. I noticed round 4 was harder but, don't remember being this difficult. I did publish these versions 2 weeks before the tournament and asked for feedback, but did not receive any. This was also published before we started the Ranger program.
So, I'm sorry Round 4 is like it is, luckily everyone will have the same conditions. I am hosting the PGA and the Euro this week, and I am getting feedback that the course over there is playing far too easy. I don't really read these spoiler threads as courses and course selection seem to get attacked every week instead of discussing the golf and how you played. It's getting tiresome choosing courses that we might think is a good fit, only for the course (and sometimes the designer) to get attacked. So "point the finger" at me all you want. It's a game. I can take it. I have no problem admitting that setup could have been much better. Sorry some of you didn't enjoy yourselves in the last round.
I'll let you know when I find a course that you can throw darts at all the pins and have easy-medium putts wherever you hit it to, yet still have the winning score only between -30 and -40.

I think it's probably safe to say that for every one person that complains about a course, there are 2-3 that really enjoy it, or don't see anything to complain about. The problem is, those 2-3 don't typically post. So the negative noise drowns out the positive silent majority.

Played a few rounds after my tournament round. Still haven't managed to break par on the Sunday pins.

I'll let you know when I find a course that you can throw darts at all the pins and have easy-medium putts wherever you hit it to, yet still have the winning score only between -30 and -40. why do we need to throw darts at all the pins? there are some good fair courses out there (where the green firmness is not maxed out, yardage less than 7500+, pin locations are not sitting on steep slopes, no trees blocking pathways, etc) where the top scores are either all or mostly all under -10 oh, the course that hosted the open (university) with a winning score of -31, that course was pretty fair as well, except for the firm/firm/fast round, course wasnt built for those conditions. The Capilano Club is a fantastic course, looks and plays well mostly. the problem was is the lack of double checking to make sure things were right. its not up to us to give you feedback on a course/pin before the tourny goes live to tell you its acceptable or not. all it would have taken was 1 playthrough after the publish on each round by the designer. if that would have been done, none of this would have ever been spoken. you most likely would have fixed the firmness and the first pin location, and had round 4 play much more like the first three.

The main issue is if you are above the hole on 3 or 4 holes there is no way to keep the ball on the green if you miss your putt. I enjoyed the course but round 4 was brutal. I chipped in for an eagle & for a birdie & still shot over par. All because of 3 or 4 holes where I had downhill putts. It is what it is, I'll tee it up again next week.

Ive only played a practice rd on Thursday pins so hearing pins get harder is troubling. I also recognize this is the top venue in the sport. I have read and watched numerous posts and videos on placing pins on severe slopes. I also recognize from an addiction to the GNCD that its not just yellow and red that make a slope. Having yellow at the top of a slope, I green in the middle, and yellow at the bottom is still pretty severe. Just raising the middle a half inch will do this. Combine this with enough slope to allow the ball to roll a bit and you've found a way to not put pins in the "YELLOW", yet really they are. Lower the firmness and you can really make it appear OK. I think for the porpose of the highest level of this game this game I accept it. For the masses though, please be careful course creators. After seeing videos and posts on "acceptable pin placements" I just wanted to voice my opinion. This is not a shot at Canuck, just something Ive been seeing alot of. Now Im gonna go kick this courses ass... Lol, if my putter and brain can get in sync...

Just played a round 4 practice. Scored a -2 and had to readjust my putting stroke when above the hole. I would shorten my putting stroke and add about 3 x the break and the ball can stop fairly close to the hole.

No issues for me on R4 - seems like a good challenge for PGA guys...most submitted scores are ***gasp*** between 67 and 73 right now.

Well this is why the Rangers were created. We're gonna test all of these approved courses repeatedly, so that we have the best courses and conditions for these tournaments. There really shouldnt be any more laggy courses or questionable pins from now on. If there are, then its on us. Not the designers. We're gonna provide TGCTours with the best, fair, and competitive courses for the biggest tournaments in the world.

Just dropped a -42 through 3 rounds, which included a 54 on round2! Feeling pretty good. Going to wait to see the scores before playing my 4th round. I'll at least be playing for a potential win. Stay away thoughts of DJ.
