Even though this course is easier than any we played recently, it does make for a tougher event. Mistakes here can be very costly. A error on a tougher course can be recovered as others will also drop shops. With the quality of golfers on this tour, there will not be many mistakes amount the top of the leader board. I got lucky with the winds for my first round, they never went above seven miles a hour and that really helped over the first four holes with three birdies and a eagle. A lip out on the fifth stopped the best starting run I had in a long time. In fact, lip outs and missing by inches was the story of the rest of my front nine with only one more birdie along the way. I was happy though, I had a chance on every hole and will never turn down six under after nine. The back nine started well with two more birdies, my approaches were landing where I wanted them to which was really nice to see, if I can put the ball close, it takes away some of the pressure from my average putting. To my surprise, this continued for the rest of the round with four more birdies to finish twelve under. Which was a pretty significant moment for me as it was the first time I ever shot a sub sixty round. It has been a long time coming but it sure felt good. It would be nice if I can continue like this, after a strike two weeks ago, my lucky escape last week, avoiding a strike by the skin of my teeth, a week of safety would be a relief. Still what ever happens, I can take pleasure from this round, good luck everyone. as always I enjoy to read about your rounds Daniel highlight of my week but as one that has played on pc and ps4 which do you prefer? I am an psu and an gpu away from switching to pc I enjoy playing on both but mainly play my tour rounds on ps4 because of the bigger screen, my eye sight could be better. If you have the gpu, the game looks stunning on PC. I seem to read the greens better on PC but hit the ball straighter on the ps4 so to be honest it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. My average on both machines about the same, which really is not much of a answer to you though. I really can't say which one I prefer, when I play at night, seeing whose online pretty much makes up my mind what I play on and having the game on both means I am never really short of people to play with which is a good a reason as any to have on both.

fair enough. I did try it once on my laptop before I seemed to get this godgiven skills i have now and while laggy I seemed to sink putts from any/everywhere. I'm not taking anything for granted but the beer has me convinced I'll be unbeatable.

I could not get the pace of the greens at all, they felt odd to me. Half of my putts were way short and half were way long, very few were even close. It took me until the 4th round to make an eagle, although the second round saw an unbelievable 5 iron roll in on the 13th for an albatross. I also struggled with 17, that being 2 of my 5 three putts, although I stuck an approach dead on the 4th round. A couple of lip outs, plus stupidly hitting it into the water on the 2nd, but it all came together in the end and I finished with a 59 to get to -39. Maybe good enough to lose my strike?

Huge advantage to those who played early (well, depends on what they had).
My wind in round 3 wasn't too high (7-10) but was in totally opposite direction from previous rounds. For example, the short par 5 13th became much more difficult with the wind in my face and that left-hand tree becoming a factor. Plus on the 12th I tried to clear the ravine with an 11mph tail wind, and ended up with a 9 on the hole. Probably should've just re-teed but tried to get myself out...
Anyway, happy the wind patch is back working (I guess?) but too bad it comes up part way into a tournament, especially with a major this week.

59, 57, 60, 61 for me this week, one of my better weeks. Didn't have a great time in the third and fourth rounds, after poor starts in both rounds I scrambled the back 9 very well to retrieve some shots. Definitely a few eagle chances on this course, I think I had at least 4 or 5. Just pokin' my nose in here from CC-B. I played against your ghost (and oswinner's), as you were the PS4 leader at the time I started, and I figured I'd have to be within10 strokes of you, at the very least, to earn an exemption. Hoping your score holds, as I believe I finished 9 strokes back at -38. My tourney: R1 = 60 (-11) R2 = 61 (-10) R3 = 61 (-10) R4 = 64 (-7) Total = 246 (-38) Last round, I kept grabbing a hook out of my bag, instead of a club. Too many pars on the par-5s in the last round, each one might as well be a dropped shot on the leaderboard. Very strange feeling after this tourney...a very good score gets posted, but it still seems like a bit of a let-down, knowing that many shots were still left out there - missed putts, hooked shots, high backspin flops. Funny game golf is! Looks like it's the Canadians bunched at the top early in the tourney....at the time of this posting, four out of the top eight spots are Canucks. Good shots to all. Hoping for no -50s or -49s from y'all this week, so I can be teeing up with you in next week's tourney!

Sucks that it comes halfway through a tourney though but what can we do? I usually play turn based with my mate but he's on holiday until Friday so will be interesting what wind he gets. I got probably 8mph average through the 4 rounds ranging 5-10mph obviously without the wind update earlier in the week so hopefully the latter guys and girlies will be lucky not to get higher. Looking forward to next weeks tournament now :-)

play r 1 and 2 last night. moderate winds the whole time. never had anything less then 9mph and had as high as 15. shot 65 round one and 61 round two. the update made it difficult for me the first round as I was not used to the new swing input and had problems a couple times off the tee and also putting. I figured it out mostly on the second round though. Last two holes had FPS drop when putting and blasted the ball over the hole for my birdies.
I like this course. nice to look at and fun to play. No to low winds and you can go really low out here.
