Use Royal St Andrews The Old Course. Proper course for the open. I'm not a big fan of postponing. We should keep the schedule the same. What kind of scores have been shot here? I played it once and shot -1. A friend of mine played it a few times and he could only shoot -2. It's a gorgeous course and it's better looking than the St. Andrews that were ever on Tiger.

Since I did not qualified for The Open, I have no personal issues in this discussion, but as a TGCT member I do have an opinion. We have a beautiful recreation of St. Andrews with 4 pin set up. Yeah the scores may get ridiculously low, but IRL Opens at St. Andrews have had some of the lowest scores in Major Championship history.
When I first saw the 4 pin set up, I thought for sure it was going to be the pick for The Open.
IMHO postponing the tournament would be the first real mistake the admins of TGCT have made since its inception. Please guys, keep your streak of right moves going!

Well whatever course it is it has to be someone who created it on consoles as they are going to need multiple pins for everyone to play it.

Just postpone in imo and run a different event. Don't see why that would be anymore of an issue that selecting another course.

I'm can pretty much say we are not postponing. fair dues, it was discussed as it was suggested by Doyley as a viable option to look at but if that's deemed not the case then no worries! is the only other option is you have to change the course?

is the only other option is you have to change the course? Yes, which means we have to make contact with the designer and sort it out (which we are doing)

With it now being the end of Tuesday here in the UK and the tournament due to open in 72hours any chance it could be not postponed but slightly pushed back 24 hours or anything?

I say use chamber bay it's a links course, has 4 pins & it's very challenging. Also well done

I'm can pretty much say we are not postponing. Unfortunate for me, as a postponement would have offered me to actually show up at The Open Championship. But okay... thank you for at least taking it into consideration!
