I visited the water too on this round (that tree on the 8th got me) and I think there was a couple of bogies in there too, but I'm a born and bred filthy Scotsman so playing in the wind is a talent installed at birth!

74-72.
Putting is still killing me and some of these greens were impossible to hold. All the par 3s are killer, too. That's where I struggled the most. Wind update is nice, though.

What a breath of fresh air... err let me re phrase. What a gust of fresh air! I enjoy the challenge of high winds, I like the fact it changes a golf course, bares its otherwise false teeth, grandma on meth.
Now that we all have to play in the same wind, we all have to put up with our methed out grandmas belching, now we all have to.... we all have to play golf in the same wind conditions... REJOICE, THE WIND GODS HAVE HEARD OUR PRAYERS.
+4 round 1 - I was 1 over through 14 holes, with one bogey and 13 pars, then I got burnt on some of the easier holes, trying to take too much distance or playing aggressive to try to get to under par.
-5 round 2 - what a difference the wind made eh!? Could've and should've shot lower, but after the beating I received from peeked out grandma I was kind of in shock. One thing the wind doesn't change though is the speed/firmness/slope of the green.... had some tough TOUGH putts, Im talking rollercoaster 50 foot plus up hills, down hills, across hills..... I want my grandma

Interesting indeed to see how the paradigms shift in each respective tour with the wind equalizer. I shot 41 31 in that 16mph wind round 1. Then couldn't make a putt to save my life in a dismal -3 round 2 with the easy wind. Feeling like a missed cut this week.

Doing a crossover after shooting a 59 for the PGA event, only to realize I couldn't post it because I forgot to register. Whoops! Just glad I was able to book a late flight across the pond.
67 (-5) Rd 1.

Very disappointign Round 2 for me: 69 (-3) Didn't play better in low winds at all, honestly I played much worse. I just hope I've made up enough strokes in R1 with people struggeling in high winds to just make the cut (with -5 after two rounds)!

+12 in round 1, and that was not the winds fault. Just CRAP putting and close-game. Also that stinking rough got me, as it is almost impossible to get out of it...

-15 heading into the weekend. Bogeyed 17 both rounds. I really hate that hole. I think the correct play may be to purposely miss the green on the approach and leave yourself an easy up and down. 50+ foot putts are my Achilles in this game (never get the speed right) and that's what you get if you land on the green.

So thought I would play my last 2 rounds in case my -2 is enough to get me through the cut (still doubtful but you never know). R3 managed to break even with winds about 13-14mph. I was happy with this due to not scoring well first round. By the end of the round was just playing to make par and not taking risks. R4 I shot lights out compared to my recent performances. -8 in similar wind to R3 but did see the wind as low as 12mph. The shock of the high winds had worn off. Got a birdie flop from the rough on hole 3, eagled a few holes including the last and made some sizable putts which all helped my score. Got a few bogeys as well so my score could have been higher. All in all rather chuffed with my -10 for this week. Just need to wait for the cut now
