Hey all,
Just wondering what you think of the new update. I believe they tweaked putting again because personally I'm finding things are a lot more fluid in putting. I have seen a 6 foot putt, suddenly race by 15 feet on a stroke I have used on magnolia which didn't have that result. The other thing I'm finding is downhill putts are breaking a bit more than what they used to. It feels better, but is going to take some time getting used to.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Overall the game play seems smoother. I'm getting about 120 FPS on some holes which is up about 20 from previously and averaging over 75. Colours and everything seems sharper.

Putting seems slightly different for me as well. It's usually the best part of my game, but I've been missing more putts since the patch. It may be just me, but seems like the speed or lag or something is slightly different.

However, i don't want to learn a new putting-style every time a new patch is released. It's the important part of the game and should not be tweaked every two months. Performance for me is worse after the update...Frame-Rate-Drops are increasing, and the 9x%-Shots as well. Just my opinion, but i don't like this update.

Well according to HB, no changes on wind speed or Putting were made.. Very weird.

Mine is just more shaky instead of smooth. It's now similar to chips for me where the club gyrates on the backswing.

I agree that things seem different, particularly that I have run several putts past the hole (especially downhill) which is not typical for me. Definitely feel like I'm gonna need to adjust, scores haven't been very good.

Its because they made the swing independent from the frame rate of the course this also includes the putting stroke. So now you pretty much have the same stroke for fast greens no matter what course you are on. So if you played one course before the patch (maybe practiced gator hole) then played it after the patch the putting stroke should feel different for some people.

We noticed that the wind was a bit stronger but HB says they didn't touch either.

I dunno about the wind but i see it jump around a lot more than usual. like go 2mph then while on the same hole go up to 9 + mph. So it could be when you set up your shot the wind is starting to ramp up while your executing your swing. Not sure how HB implemented there wind like if the wind is 2mph when you make contact with the ball it stays 2 mph throughout the shot or if the wind is still changing and affecting the ball post contact.

I don't think anything should be changed half way through the season, the game might be easy for some but it not easy for us mere mortals

That started a month ago for me. On the Challenge Club at the start of my setup wind was 10.. as I readjusted and swung went and gusted to 15 LOL, then back down to 6 next hole... A lot more wind swings for sure.

This is something they are working on (separating the swing from frame rate)... they are hoping it will help with the unintentional <100% power shots, and make partial power shots easier... but as I understand it, it hasn't been implemented. It's been mentioned in the Dev Diaries, but is for a future patch. (again, as I understand it)
