Hello folks,
I have a course in Beta and I created 4 tee sets for it. Here is my issue, my son played it today and said that the default when he launched the course was the Greens which on this course are the shortest tees available, the course is designed around playing the blacks.... so my question is.
Is there a reason to have all the tees? Can I set the “default” tees for the course? Should I just delete all the tees that I created that we dont need to force the course onto the blacks?
Cheers

Are the tee waypoints at the front tees?

Default will be based on whatever course he played beforehand, so don't worry about it.
Create it with four tees as it'll help you block out some of the empty space in front of your back tees (and give people other options of how to play the course).

Are the tee waypoints at the front tees? Hey there, No I dont think so, I created the course initially with OpenStreet from the blacks only and then in the game I built (added) the other tee spots. I showed him how to restrict the round to the blacks.

Agreed.... the course definitely looks more realistic with tee markers in front of the the blacks.. Thanks for the info

I think most of check tees before we play and pick the 'suitable' one for our game, so you're fine.
There's good tips on how to mix up the order and make them all useful in a tourney out there, too. Apologies for not having a thread link handy 😟

Might have to scroll through a couple vids but it's relatively simple to find.

Your course is fine, and as b101 posted, the tees are based on the previous game played. For lidar courses I will set at least 4 tees (unless the course has less) and then when I do playthroughs for each pin position I am able to play a different tee set for each and can also check the flatness of each tee box.
You probably don't want to use the Q tutorial to mix up tees on a lidar course as that would defeat the whole purpose of setting multiple tees (close) to their corresponding real life yardages.

I didn't even realize it was a Lidar. I probably should have read more than 2 posts. Yeah definitely don't need that link for this situation. My bad.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the posts.... all good info for sure. I will keep the Tee Boxes as the are now based on everyone’s comments and resulting rounds played. The yardages are definitely close enough to be “relevant” to the intended purpose as that of a real course.
Thanks again
