I want to be able to see the undulation grid on the entire course to help with sculpting. Maybe just a setting you can toggle on and off. at the very least don’t make the green grid a square. Make it appear whenever the green texture is used.

You should be able to toggle everything on and off. Those awful red and yellow lines that you need, but sometimes want out of the way when you're trying to get a good look at your hole. Or turn on and off objects in layers.

You could also set up shot testing loops for multiple locations. So for example, you set up a test shot from a tee box with club and wind setting... and then the designer could play the ball flight of that shot over and over again while you make sculpting changes to the landing zone and watch each incoming shot react to your changes. Wow my wheels are turning. I'm gonna stop now because that's never gonna happen... that one would be good to see how the ball reacts and tolls on the green. Especially for par 3 shots if you are looking at the rollout to the pin etc Now you've got me dreaming of the option of having something like they have on golf broadcasts. Something like 50 balls hovering over the green grid. Push a button and bam they all camber in and drop. Then you can see where each one ends up with the slope of the green.

In all honesty, if they just fixed the squiggly line thing, I'd be good.

In all honesty, if they just fixed the squiggly line thing, I'd be good. Couldn’t agree more, particularly the one you get when tough touches heavy rough! I loved it when they added the “toggle secondary surface” option, if they could add “toggle third surface” it would be amazing to do that transition of fairway - light rough - heavy rough with one spline. Instead you have to change to desert theme and nudge spline points closer and closer until it almost touches. Takes about 20 minutes a hole. Ball ache.

Tilting water was a thing HB tried for TGC2, but they couldn't get the collision physics to work correctly, which is why they abandoned it.

HB has explained that expanding the contour grid creates memory issues which is why they have limited it to 25x25. It's also not that much of an issue, really. Pop a measure marker down where you want pin one so you don't forget, then just move that pin all over to see your slopes whilst you sculpt. tagging Oscar C - Patrick, I know you know this

The most important improvements that I want are:
- Fixing the problems with vertical walls in the terrain - pot bunkers, bunker lips, lips towards water (stream edges etc). - Proper drop rules, the designer must mark out hazards just as out of bounds, and the game needs to be able to give the player the proper options to drop out of the hazard - or play the ball if it is playable. - Streams, fences, walls that is following the terrain. I don't think that we need to have water tilted, but to put down stream, fences, walls with splines that follow the terrain. - Ideally that HB drop the terrain altering with water, bunkers, clubhouses (there are some other objects as well) and let the designer sculpt the terrain - choose the textures for water edges and ground beneath the water. Or, have it an option to have the altering of the terrain and texture changes. There must be an option to not have the terrain altered. - Tall grass and wilderness textures. - The option to choose the height of the cut of rough - that can be changed in the setup for the rounds - and also a third rough, medium rough. This way, the courses can be setup for the US open difficulty deep heavy rough to the easy cut grass for tournaments.
