Being able to spline streams/rivers and the water flow with the terrain, rather than having to sculpt it all so it's flat or use many levels of water. Proper pot bunkers. Fescue rough.

The ability to control the camera in the course editor individually from the object you are trying to place. The ability to individually set fairways and greens speed/firmness, maybe I want a soft green on the 3rd hole and a firm green on the 10th. If I change the texture of one surface I don't want it too change all alike surfaces. The ability to actually build a tunnel. Also being able to set wind speed and direction would be great, how hard is it to make a tab for wind speed and direction in the settings menu.
Tip for the game design team at HBstudios, go play avatar golf for the xbox360 and then just use there course design features for 90% of your game.

Id like them to disable auto flatten greens and fairways. WhTs the point in starting from a random plot when the auto flatten destroys all the features.

Yes, yes, I know the answer, but....
Get rid of unity and spend some money in a more advanced graphic engine1
1 Or hire someone who can make more interesting developments using unity

Cornfields and fescue using brushes/splines.
Change size and elevation of multi-selections.
And the biggest, most difficult request that would probably take the whole studio weeks to accomplish, but I can dream: the ability to zoom out fractionally more so I can get a birds eye of the entire course. I know, it's a tall ask.
