My first course: This course is inspired by a real location on Chautauqua lake in NY, more specifically the Stow to Beamus Point area.
Originally i had a few other courses layed out and sculpted, one of which i think will be better than this but will require way too much time. So eventually I decided on this one. It's in delta theme because I felt the tree selection was the closest to what i wanted. It sure would be nice if we could just pick a dozen out of the whole library, but I don't make the rules.
The course itself is what i would describe as a well maintained local course which was inspired by some of the courses in that area (between Mayville and Jamestown). There really isn't any real elaborate country clubs in the area. The challenge of the course isn't hazards or water, but the undulations and unkempt areas around landing zones as well as some tricky greens that'll play differently with each pin.

I'll be firing this one up tonight. Congrats and good luck! Have fun, and fyi it plays best with a N, Ne, or E wind (I believe the default changed to w after publish). Are you streaming by any chance?

Enjoyed my round here - I thought the natural environments around the creek were really nice. I think the lack of bunkers was bold as hell and for me, a couple of holes needed them visually, but you did really well to make the holes interesting without bunkers. Given the lack of bunkers, maybe tone the sculpting up and go really hilly so it looks a bit tighter than maybe it is? The greens definitely held my attention and were a great defence - some really tiny landing zones which fitted well with your overall vision. Great work and best of luck

And when you're playing my course ranger it for me and shoot me a PM. I'll return the favor when i play yours later tonight.

After designing 4 holes or so I didn't like the style of bunkers i was using so I deleted them all and liked the sculpting that was left behind. And yes a few holes needed them, but i was determined. And believe it or not it is way harder to create a course without them. Trying to keep the holes entertaining and not monotonous was a real challenge.

Played a round on your course, really enjoyed my round. Was in the clubhouse at -9..
Thought you routed the course nicely, and the " natural " non-bunkers, I thought you did well.
I played the tips with master clubs, default conditions, pin 2. I'll send you a bit of info on PM.
I think this course could easily host a CC-Am event IMO.. great job, and good luck in the competition!

The course was fun to make, so i just hope it is as fun to play. -9 is a good round because the greens are a bit slower and most of us need to adjust for that (that's by design).

I personally will will have an area that I don’t know what to do with and immediately think “bunker!” I played a few holes today as I was going through a bunch of courses to get on the list to play. It’s def a “shock” at first to not see any bunkers. So initially I was thinking “he had a later submission, did he forget to bunker this hole?!?”, but then realized it was intentional haha. First few holes looked well done though so look forward to finishing it up! Good luck.

Thanks for the play and the comments reebdoog. Appreciate insight from the best judge in the community. You're opinion is like gold considering you're outstanding resume. If the courses in this community were all half as good as yours, they'd still all be elite. Did i mention how handsome you are? Do you have a Venmo or PayPal account?

Played the green tees with pin 1 with beginner clubs. Enjoyed my round shooting par 73 with a bad 4 putt.
Just wondering if the real world course had that cloverleaf like green? I think hole 7.
