The courses on the Challenge Circuit seem to be far too easy at the moment, have been ever since the back end of last season. Early days in round 1 this week, looks likely that averaging -10 per round won't even get you in the top 10 on CC-E. I've had tournament scores this season of -23 and -22 that have placed me 16th and 25th. Surely the difficulty should be pitched so that at one of the lowest levels there is, scores of people aren't ripping the course apart and you're needing to score unrealistically low across a week to get anywhere near. I could understand scoring like that being inevitable at CC-A or CC-B, but not down at the lower tiers.

My tournament scores are as follows in CC-D..only one top 5 to date:
-29 -31 -29 -18 -28
Not great scores but not bad scores...and I'm middle of the pack in CC-D. So I see what you're saying Dan..but I do believe it will eventually all balance out

Was curious about the Omega Dubai Desert Classic being held at Dinosaur Valley Golf Club next month. I gave it a try earlier as I won the event last year and considered playing in the event. Kind of seems like an auto gen course with a few extra tee boxes added for visuals. At least two of the holes has a massive mound in front of the tee box where you cant see the fairway and driver barely gets over the top of it and on one of the par 5's on the back 9 there is a bush in the fairway right infront of the green.
Not sure if seeing as the course was made over a year ago that an update has corrupted it or if that was the initial design? Maybe I'm just nit picking as none of my courses have never been chosen such as Kahana Tour Version or Remembrance Sunday......hint hint lol

I'm not sure if these courses have been played by many but just played a tour called "The Black Wolf Run (Mini)". Only played first 2 courses so far but I would love to see either of them considered for PGA.
Edit: all 4 courses defend par well but you can still birdie every hole since it uses slopes very well to defend the scoring. Great shots are rewarded with easy putts. Bad shots can leave u with a tough par save.

Has to be a mess up. I wouldn't even accept that course in the database as a reviewer. Looks auto-gen, tee boxes aren't flat, terrible looking terrain, bunkers aren't sculpted.

I think the problem is that there are so few desert courses that are anything but awful that finding a challenging one is difficult.
Since the December update, a whole host of new desert courses are being built, but there probably hasn't been enough time to find a good, challenging one.

Agreed, I honestly think courses used for tournaments last year that had good feedback should have a good chance at being reselected unless there's a clear better course to replace it. There were some great tracks used last year that I'd like to play again. Just because a course is new doesn't mean it should always be selected.

Son Gual that was used in the original Q school was a great tough challenge and most people probably haven't played it in over a year. No idea if Wendy was going to make a multi pin version or not? The greens are firm, but at least you know where the ball is going to go once it lands.

For those looking at RCR's I found a version of "Teeth of the Dog" that has only been played by 16 people as of now.

Not my course (I don't have the patience to design courses) but I played this course called Inch Island Golf Club that wI enjoyed and had nice detail. I Thought it might play well as a tournament course so I figured I'd suggest it. Not sure if this is where youre supposed to submit that sort of thing or not.
