the Full Ultra Sim Realistic Mode, is the best and most fun way to Play this Game. which for me includes ' No Shot feedback ' ( I have been experimenting and I definitely play better with Shot feedback ON ) If the Game is Played with Shot Feedback OFF and Distance ball travels OFF. it was slightly harder also , not quite sure why. and absolutely no peeking with follow cam also. I have noticed scores go down with the this and is also not realistic. I have been turning the PIN location OFF myself . its harder but more fun. ( use over head map to see where the pin is. ) I was experimenting also with chipping out of bunkers on some previous tournaments, agree that it is not very realistic . Along with the Forced Slow shot on back swing, for any TYPE on Shot Period . in the Game. ( Including Drives and Fairway shots, Just not Realistic. In my Opinion. This is how I am playing the rest of the Season. Playing with these Rules Along with the Original USE Rules. Is and has always been the Most Fun combined with realism. that this game offers. Good luck to everyone . my feeling is that everyone else wants to play this Game the most difficult way , along with being realistic as Possible. Gonna match you your settings Jay from now on This is how I have started playing. Everything is turned off. Thanks to Jeffbdvs

Final round was a disaster. One chirp on 17, but that was after the damage had been done by 4 Humphreys, 3 Double Humphs and a Triple Humph. +12 for the round, +20 for the event.
Came out super cold and never felt a good swing. Sigh.
Onward.

My 2 cents worth:
Happy with everything mentioned apart from the pin marker. So:
All pre-defined USE setting plus change following settings manually pre-game: 1. Follow camera off. 2. Shot feedback off (unsure if this is currently enforced...I always switch it off).
And the following in-game "trust" components: 1. No loft box. 2. No chipping out of bunkers (never have anyway). 3. No slow swing shenanigans (never tried it).
You always know where the pin is when approaching the green IRL even if you have to go for a walk ahead to spot it. Not having that option in-game would slow the game down too much (for me anyway....I'm trying to get 3 tourneys in per week with limited time outside of work, family, etc). Pro's have a caddy, hackers have on course markers (sprinkler heads, 100, 150, 200 markers on fairways). Perhaps for some of the minor tourneys, the lads organising it each week pre-warn everyone that players have to manually change the measurement mode from accurate to range, just to mix it up a bit??
Cheers

Cheers In real life most golfers that play regularly have GPS, my skycaddie let's me move the flag to get prettygood distances to the pin, for my skill level. Also with laser rangefinders you have spot on distance when you can see the flag. Range measurement seems too much guess work to me with longer distances.

I’m playing BCT and using pro clubs on TST. This is the only place I’m using masters, and I’m struggling. Just about to jump back in and finish R1, will try to smash out R2 as well so it’s just the two rounds to get done tomorrow.
Will try to pack a better attitude in the bag for next week, this weeks sucks a55.

Got R1 done.
My worst ever round on a golf game. +10, 80. I’d be pissed with an 80 IRL if I had a month of practice, and I haven’t played 18 holes in 2 years lol.
R2 can’t be worse, can it???
*Would actually be quite chuffed with an 80 IRL on reflection, my best Hcp was 7 so I’m kidding myself lol.
Onwards 💪🏻🇦🇺

R2 & 3 in the books. Like a fine whine(r), only got better. 80, 78, 71 for a total of +17 thru 3. Targeting +15, a -2 last round.
Got this little baby up my sleeve, the spiritual non penalisable 15th club -

Pleasant round 2 with my man Jay 'ChipsforAces 'Smith and matched his settings including no shot feedback including for distance and loved it, with no flag marker either which was fine for this course. 68 much improved over my opening round 73, short putting was poor but approach play was very good. Long putting was very good also including this uphill gem from 57 feet for birdie on 14

Great Fun with No Flag Marker ,. imo it adds to the realism factor and immersion of the game. with out being to crazy difficult. and for sure , No Shot feedback with distance. raises the level of immersion. I also usually play Round ONE and TWO with 2 other ghost players. ( takes longer but amazing.) Round THREE and FOUR. with only 1 other Player. ( round 3 and 4 . go by faster. also. with only one player. ( Turn based of course. ) its worth the time. to enjoy this game.

Was a bit dubious about no shot feedback because I like to know if I've pulled off a 90 or 95 percent but you get an idea from the shot result. Totally immersive way to play the game. Not going to put a rule on these settings but suggest those that want a more immersive sim round to give it a go.
