Confession here..... Some time ago I had joined USE, but quit because I didn’t get it. I joined TST and switched to Masters clubs. While I haven’t made a cut, I am breaking par. Anyhow, I read through the posts here, and I know I’m missing out. I’d like to rejoin, but need to get an updated, comprehensive list of what I need to turn off on my end. I’m on Xbox. What is the society name? From what I’ve read, and understand current rules: 1. No chips from bunkers 2. Scout cam off 3. Shot feedback off 4. Aiming marker off 5. No loft box 6. Green and lie grid off 7. Wind turned off. Does this mean no direction arrow, or just wind speed off?
Any other things I need to turn off?
Thanks

The only thing you NEED to manually switch off is the FOLLOW camera.
Feedback and aim marker are optional (currently)
Scout cam / green and lie grids / wind - are all done automatically in the event settings - so nothing you have to touch in settings.
Then just honesty re loft box etc.

4 rounds done on Pinehurst no2 - since I didn't manage to finish last week. First round good except a tripple at 8th. Second round okay. Third round was stable, but no birdies - the same on the 4th round. +8, +5, +6, +7. +26 total on a difficult course is okay for me.

Thanks Xbox GamerID: no bluff me It is pretty much the same as TST but without using the loft box(there is a 2 stroke penalty every time it is used) and follow cam which you need to turn off in your settings. The no chipping in the bunkers will be decided on a vote, the purposely using a slow backswing to hit shorter distances on chips, flops, pitch and full shots is also down to a vote. Pin marker and shot feedback is allowed, it's up to the player themselves if they want to play with them off for more immersion. But if you want to practice partial shots it might be a good idea to keep shot feedback on for a while ,also no ghost balls only turn based ghosts and turn off ball labels.

I saw Andersnm's post this morning and I also decided to play all four rounds. I had a hard time getting off the bogey train in R1 and spent the next three rounds chasing birdies to no avail. I'm currently sitting in 1st place since no one else has started lol. I played with ALL assists turned off! I really enjoyed it and it seemed very realistic to me.

I voted Full Sim based on the no bunker chipping part.
As far as slow swing goes, how could you enforce that. I have purposely tried to hit 90-95% for distance control, if I get a slow at the bottom I am usually cursing myself. SOMETIMES it works to my favor, but that is purely by accident. Is this going to be a self reported violation under the spirit of the fair play rules? Sorry, but if it happens to me I would not report it because it was not done intentional. For that, I see that as something that is hard to enforce.
Just my 2 cents folks, love USE and what its all about.

Art, it is the intentional stopping at the top of the backswing to get a slow or very slow to control distance - not if it is not done intentional. Enforcing is trust - just like the loft box.
I have done tremendous progress in partials on chips. I can now control a 65%, 75% and 85% with good tempo and have no need of this slow manipulation anymore. (I can also get a 50%, but it's very rare that I need that - a 65% chip with a lob wedge gives me 5-6 yard chip shot.)

JosiaDB got me by one Stroke incredible playing , fair and Square this week. Actually thought that I would lose by more Strokes this week. I managed to find the bottom of the Leader board . but Still very happy with the Final Round. and the Participation Points always a great time playing this Sim now. no matter what , Trying to get Handi cap . as close to Scratch someday. Just have to Manage the Yardage and try to get full shots into the green. and then better at the putting . to try to get a few strokes lower. Lots of Practice needed . Mostly playing for the fun. against some of the best golfers on the internet. is always an Honor. Ultra Sim Experience ( Hardcore Realism Rules ) has added a new challenge to the Season. Good luck everyone. Lets Go.

Pinehurst No. 2 is a superb course that is extremely challenging but fair, really loved it. Played my first round with Anders who outplayed me on the back 9, birdied the first and was playing solid golf until the 7th hole and was a real struggle from then as I was pushing my approach shots a shot that I suffer with in real life ironically. Some great ups and downs with tricky chips and good bunker play and holing some tough par putts. Some tough crafty pins in round 1 so it's best not to be too aggressive .75 (+5) first round. To show how tough this course is New Zealander Michael Campbell won the US Open in 2005 on even par. www.golfchannel.com/tours/pga-tour/2005/us-open
