Well it’s seems the title of web.com champion is going to be different this year and it won’t be going by the money list. If your in the web with three weeks left, you are in with a chance. With three weeks to go, make the cut(top 70) and you are into the next round, miss the cut and you are eliminated. With two weeks to go, make the cut( top 30) and your into the final week, everyone else is eliminated. The final week, the top 15 make the cut and the final two rounds are a shoot out to see who is web.com champion. So maybe time to start practicing those final three weeks. You can check out what courses are being used on tgctours.com. Be gentle.....

Thought I’d play my first two rounds half cut and it was fun, I guess.
-11 heading into the weekend. Maybe enough, maybe not. But I had a good time either way.
@!$#, I love beer.

Shot -8 in final round to finish -35...8 birdies 0 bogeys but had pars on every par 5 so could have been better but I'll take -35.

Played round 2 in - 9. Okay score but disappointed in my swing. Too many off-swings. Distance control was a little better now though. 16 after 2 now

Another very fun course to play and while it’s challenging there are plenty of opportunities to go low. Struck the ball great and putted well throughout my 4 rounds. Another slow start round 1 will likely do me in. Was -1 heading to the back before I finally put it together and finished -8. Continued a nice run with -12 and -10 for rounds 2 and 3. Round 4 had some very tricky pins and with a little extra wind I cooled off some but shot a respectable -9 including a hole in one on 11 to finish at -40. I’m really gonna be kicking myself for round 1...should have easily gotten to double digits.

Just another piece of information about the play offs that somehow I missed. After week one of the play offs, if your in the top 50 on the money list, you automatically qualify for week 2. After week two, if you are in the top 10 in the money list, you automatically qualify for the final shoot out. So the money list still matters which I think is a fair reward for people’s efforts over a long season. Also anyone making the cut on the final week, is automatically promoted to the euro tour. Right I think that’s everything, of course you could just read it for yourself on the play off thread but no harm in giving a quick run through here.

I'm only in my first yr of tgct but I'm pretty sure this is the first course I've come across where a player would have to make an outstanding shot to eagle a par 5. Like an outrageous second shot/approach shot to get close, pitching in, chipping in, and so on. There are risk-reward holes on other courses but the designer of this course has made his par 5s risk-risk-risk-reward. Ha. So...I don't think you should feel bad about getting a 5 on those. They were a b1tch.

One I hit 2 wood off the tee all but 1 day where I tried driver and still couldn’t carry the bunker with the wind. I still had very good luck with them though

I can't remember which round now cause I'm old, but I was on hole 2 as well and took driver for my approach shot. The ONLY WAY it made the green was cause I was on a slight up-slope on the fairway which allowed it to get airborne a little more than a driver off the deck usually does. Not possible without that up-slope. Really great, challenging course by the designer.

-8 -10 -1 +2 = my typical streaky self.
Rounds 1 an 2 had 2 or 3 tempo related errors. Rounds 3 and 4 was somewhere in the teens which spelled disaster. Looking forward to getting my first Web check which might buy a few beers and onto the next.

Played the first 2 rounds after getting promoted and had a -9 In round 1 (made a few bad swings but good Start for me), in round 2 I got a -12 (a hole out eagle, 2 bogeys and 3 or 4 putts that teased going in) but -21 at the cut looks good and better than I expected as I sit in 5th at the mo. 🤔🙃

After seeing the scores coming in I thought, heck it and played the weekend. Gave myself a target of -9 to get to -30 but struggled in the middle of the round and birdied 16 and 17 to finish -8 and -29 In total and in the teens in position. Looked at the scores already in for round 4 and saw nothing massive so thought maybe -6 would be decent and then things got silly lol. I started good and got to -6 quick enough then looked at the leaderboard, I know you shouldn't lol but I did and changed my target to maybe top 5 then saw superman5190 moving up the board and crossing -40 and thought top 5 it is then but kept hitting good shots for once lol and after 16 sat on -40 2 behind the lead. Somehow managed to birdie 17 and had to get something on the long par 4 and nailed the drive. The 3 wood looked like it might go long and with a strong right to left wind, had to risk the rough on the right. Hit it straight enough and clipped the rough, bounced left, looked like it would stop on the slope but rolled back towards the hole to around 7 ft from the hole. It looked straight but I've missed these before under pressure but this time I made it to finish -42 overall, currently tied 1st and -13 for the round.
Im over the moon with the best ive ever played in web and if we are passed then fair game, well done to those that do it.
Good luck to everyone else that's still to play, these are the best conditions I've played on tour for months. 🤗
