This week on the web we head to the Blue River Dunes GC by rjwils30 . I think every course that Rob has designed has ended up on tour, in many cases across multiple tours. Which I have to admit can cause tension in the schedulers mansion. Who am I kidding, the mansion becomes a war zone, punches are thrown, barricades are set up, some very strong language. I remember once, one scheduler calling another a penny pinching pathetic parasitic poser. I was shocked, that he knew what alliteration let alone put together a sentence using alliteration. It can be a scary time in the mansion, especially for me, as you all know, I am the nicest person on tgctours and not Vlad, so I do not take part is this undignified behavior, it is far beneath me. I have never said anything mean about anyone on the tours, sure I speak the truth all the time and the truth can hurt but I am never mean. This year though, it was going to be different, this year the web was going to be first, no more hiding in the corner for me, I was going to take the all on. I took the only possible option. I called my mammy and told her bold boys were picking on me. She was on the plane, wooden spoon in hand before I even hung up the phone. She hit the schedulers mansion like a ton of bricks, she did not even speak, a glare and a shake of the wooden spoon was enough to turn the other schedulers into shivering wrecks, and Blue River Dunes was mine. You are welcome web.com. There are just five weeks left on the web.com and it’s about to get challenging. Each week from now on in will have at least one tough round, there will be different types of challenges and with the web.com champion title at stake, the person that tops the list will have truly earned it. This weeks course is tough from start to finish, you will have to earn every birdie. The obvious shot is not always the right shot, don’t be a hero( like me at the battle of schedulers mansion)if in doubt, don’t. Have fun, I am looking forward to seeing how everyone does at this one, good luck.

What is that title you're talking about and where can I see it? Or do you mean the money list

Challenging course this one. But seems fair. Wasn't entirely happy with round 1. Started with 3 birds, ended with 3 birds. Inbetween that only 2 birdies and bogey. Normally the distance control is a strong point in my game but this round it let me down. Hit at least 3 wedges way too long without understanding why and let some others short. If I can get that fixed I see myself climbing next round. Good luck everyone ones again. Few chances left this season!

I bogied 18 in round 1 to shoot -6...couldnt make many putts at all...think I found something in my game in round 2 and shot -10....-16 at the cut should be in good shape.

It looks like my putting is only getting worse. I wasted five good opportunities already on first day alone.

This is just a reach out to a TGC admin. I've been a webber for 2 weeks. The first wk I missed the cut by a couple strokes I believe but didn't get a red demotion strike. The second wk I unfortunately played the web.com event. I say unfortunately cause I actually qualified for the Brit Open on the PGA tour...of which I missed the cut by I think 4 or 5 strokes, but that's irrelevant. Anyways, in my round on the web, I actually made the cut and before my score was taken away (cause I played in the PGA tourney) I think I would've finished 25th or something on web.
So with all that background, I'm wondering how I got a red demotion mark. Again, I didn't have a demotion mark after my first week on web, but after my second week. (I didn't know until afterward that my web score wouldn't count.) Did I get a red mark from playing in both the PGA and Web events??
Sorry to be a whiner (too late I know, ha).

Finally put two good rounds together to put distance between myself and another cut line with a -18 at the break. I was one of those days where pretty much everything when my way when it was needed. It was nice seeing Taylor up there on the leaderboard as well as a target to try and catch. Could be some good future battles down the road. Thankfully I got much of those birds under my belt before Dan joined the stream to provide me a kiss of death. I really enjoy Rob's courses and he is one of my favorite designers in the community that probably goes unnoticed to those who have not been here for awhile. If TGCTV wants to keep doing Mecca's maybe they should consider someone like this who is not constantly in the public eye instead of continuing to pump up the publicity of people who are already well known personas within the community. Guy deserves it.

My first week back for over a year and walk into 5 tough weeks lol. Only had a practice at this setup once last week and didn't do good but good to see some nice scores in already. Looks like I have to improve a bit to try and stay 🤔

Came out swinging and not know what to expect from my swing but it worked out ok for me. Posted a -8 in round 1 and followed up with a -10 so came in at -18 thru 36. Should be enough for the cut. Was really fun watching rhino4life chase me down! I think we’re paired together for the weekend which should be interesting. 😉

Well it’s seems the title of web.com champion is going to be different this year and it won’t be going by the money list. If your in the web with three weeks left, you are in with a chance. With three weeks to go, make the cut(top 70) and you are into the next round, miss the cut and you are eliminated. With two weeks to go, make the cut( top 30) and your into the final week, everyone else is eliminated. The final week, the top 15 make the cut and the final two rounds are a shoot out to see who is web.com champion. So maybe time to start practicing those final three weeks. You can check out what courses are being used on tgctours.com.
