Here's what I don't get, and forgive me since I'm new-ish to the game and compete way down on the CC circuit so none of this really effects me. It's been made clear that if you do the flick/short finish swing that you get DQ'd assuming it's a straight line, right? If that's the case what's the difference between that and an identical flick/short finish that is a little crooked but produces identical results (like, -60 every week)? It seems like you're relying too much on what the computer API says and not enough with common sense; they're both the same kind of swing, they both produce the same result, but you let one go because....why? The dqs from this show tight dispersion so usually no 0 deviation shots are recorded. See the chart above as it's pretty much typical for this

If there was a way to monitor short swings maybe they would do something. But I don’t think that is an option. This isn’t solely why people are good players by the way. But it can make mediocre players much better and make good players great. My opinion. I must add some (Dave) have always done this but HB changes the outcome of the swing.

I sort of understand what the chart shows, but I also know what my eyes see when there's a twitch stream that's archived that shows the swing ending halfway up the line, and it just sort of seems backwards to be like "well the computer says the dispersion is within the OK zone so it's fine" when it's dead clear that it's the same thing people get banged for.

Geeez people! A push is suppose to you know, push the ball. A pull is suppose to, well, pull it. If you swing and you pull it but the result is a push, you have found a way to game the system. Congrats! In my book it's a cheat, but go ahead and be proud that you found a way to make yourself feel good about yourself and at the same time absolutely demolish the competitive aspect of the tour. I wouldn't call it gaming the system as much as I'd call it a broken game, but the results are the same no matter which angle you look at it from. We cant say its the developers intentions. The fact that the ball moves at all says otherwise. I don't know if you are referring to me about feeling good about myself but it seems so, however I haven't played an event in a month and am no longer on the pga tour at all! I could care less about appeasing you all. I'm just using my tgc time on something I might actually enjoy, and meanwhile shortswingers continue to dominate every event. It really is pointless to play at this level, you either risk getting pulled or you aren't competing. Sorry but the competition is already ruined with that. I'm not trying to argue or justify short swinging. I am only speaking matter of factly about the knowledge I have of it. I've decided not to play competitively as a result. “you either risk getting pulled or you aren’t competing.” Well said. Started climbing this ladder in 2015 and sadly this sums up my current beliefs. I believe it’s a fantastic game except for the short swing malfunction. Hoping for a new game soon but also hoping this somehow gets sorted.

Admins hands are absolutely tied for many many reasons so I can’t even suggest a solution. DQs and bans cannot be based on rumors or a couple video clips, and we all know random short lines can pop up anytime for many reasons.
But because we aren’t playing for anything tangible, I don’t understand why players diminish their own standing in the community by using this method. It’s taking advantage of a broken game, not achieving success based on your actual talents. Sorry if that’s harsh. Not their fault per se, but that’s the reality.

That said I would even consider Pro clubs as the mandatory clubs to even the playing field if nothing else changes for next season. Maybe with some of these newer tough long course it would still be a challenge. Something to think about. Maybe they could even loosen the DQs then since most of the advantage would be gone. Maybe a test preseason?

Jumping in for Jeff - it's not extremely common, but it's not rare either to see someone hit 100% of their shots to one side of the cone - happens from the top to bottom of TGCT across all levels.

Here we go again. The short swing is a broken design by HB. Some have a way it works for them without straight lines. They probably don’t even know how they do it. But some a recently learned how to do this but they swing straight so they are busted. Pretty much the argument I’ve made since the beginning. Many would like to use it to compete but can’t or risk APIs. The game is punishing pure straight swingers wether short (DQ) or full which is over sensitive in comparison. Advantage is to crappy short swingers. Period Now that I've dabbled with full swings more I don't believe the short swing is less sensitive. The advantage is only that a push is a push and a pull is a push. It is broken though. What I'm not happy with is that as a result, it seems left misses on sws register to the right in the chart, thereby lessening the dispersion and causing the dq. Based on the results of the swing though, that is accurate. Just to be clear my position is now that the problem isnt the swing, it is however the game inacurrately interprets the swings such that a full swing would be a pull, but a short swing that lands in the same spot is a push. Doesnt matter in the end You should report this in the HB bug report. forum. Nothings going to change unless more players bring it up to them. I’m not even sure they believe yet. Make sure to use Bug report or they will lock it . Trust me www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php/board,107.0.html

Only in the PGA thread, can two people's charts get posted - one who is DQ-ed two consecutive weeks (for pretty damn obvious issues from his charts) and one who hasn't failed the API all season........but it's the latter person who has now been under scrutiny for the last 2 pages...........with most of the accusations coming from someone who has himself been (repeatedly?) DQ-ed, has recently deliberately sandbagged down to Euro (and then suddenly appears right at the top of the leaderboard there despite 'not taking it seriously')
FFS.

Just gonna squeeze a little golf in here if I may...
A Pair of -7's to open for me this week. Obviously the first round is weak, but -7 in those round 2 conditions will just about do it. Gonna call it and say that squeezes inside the cut by 1.
Another enjoyable course - the only niggle being the par 4 that's not reachable in 2. Good luck to those with rounds left to flick....

Do you really not know how to read? What in the actual $%@k are you even talking about? Why don't you check that leaderboard again because you're obviously not seeing it straight
