Maybe it's just me, but I'm certainly glad that the BCT tour is available as an option. Been playing TGC since 2015 and ran the gauntlet of the various tours. Always hit a wall and lost interest after making the cut became a challenge. Seemed more of a pain to play every week and I'd always move on to another game after I lost interest. But this year, I stopped caring as much and was really happy to see the BCT come around, as it's really the only pace in TGC where you are assured of playing against people who are using the same clubs as you.
Yep, we're short hitters, but there's some damn good players on this tour. I don't care about advancement anymore, I'm always going to hit a wall where I can't compete. It's just fun to see a bunch of familiar names out there, and fun to see the very talented new players coming in as the tour progresses. It's fun to not have a weekly debate about whether Master Clubs should get promoted or if Pro Clubs should be banned or if consoles should be separated or whatever. We're all here because we wanted to be here, because we don't care about advancing. Just nice to compete on a tour where everyone is using the same clubs. Nice to see some familiar names every week, wonder how the hell the attained the score they did, amazed that one week we were able to actually compete with those top players, fun to see the new course every week and how to attack it. Very thankful for the BCT, funnest year yet on TGC for me.

I agree with everything you said there buddy!
It is so refreshing to finally be able to enjoy rounds and not have anxiety attacks playing rounds. I made two cuts all season on the PGA Tour (2 minor events) and the rest MCs before i got demoted to Euro for one week (MC) then i decided i had enough.
My favourite style of play has always been what the first game offered and the BCT has given me the chance to compete with like minded people.

Wish they would go back to the original Golf Club where there was only one swing and everyone had the same club distances. But I guess this is as close as we are going to get.

I have thought of this same thing in the past its not a matter of how far you hit the ball off the tee. Golf is played with scoring in mind and that is from the 150 mark using your skills with short irons being able to work the ball. The short irons and the flat stick is the key. Coarse management being able to know your distance, have the skill to work the ball not worrying about how far the other guy hits his ball I think that this is where the competition is. Same clubs same distance its the skill working with the tools you have in your bag.

I even get a few with Beginner clubs which I didn't think would be the case.
