Tremendous final day from the USA... Always spectacular when a team wins it from behind.... many congratulations!! Shout out to both captains & thanks to ROW's more than capable Giraffe72 (Jamie Gale).... Biggest round of applause though goes to organiser: Celtic Wolf not only for administering & logistics but all the match write-ups & highlights especially that last day. On a personal note I thoroughly enjoyed myself & it was great fun to be involved. Well done once again to the USA & hopefully we can get revenge some time in the future............ It was that enjoyable I was tempted to punt somebody out of any team and take their place 😂.

Pat these writeups were priceless. They are TGCT HOF material. Thanks.

Yep, well done and massive thanks to Pat for the excellent organisation, that really was a lot of fun. Congrats to Taylor and the USA team on an excellent fightback and well deserved victory.
It's fair to say my team had a fair bit of adversity to deal with both before and during the contest. I was so pleased with the way they responded to that and we ran them pretty close!
We'll be back...

Great playing on Day 4 USA!!! Cheers to everyone and especially to Celtic Wolf for all his work. Wish my play would have been better this week, but it was a blast.

USA USA USA USA USA USA! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
We did it, fellas! Way to rally us, Captain America! Your words in the huddle were the spark we needed to come back!
And mofopat, you really nailed it. You ran this thing absolutely flawlessly. Thank you so much for doing it. I can't thank or commend you enough!

CC RYDER CUP PRESENTATION Firstly I'd like to thank all the participants from both teams in making this a great success. It's took a lot of work to get the competition up and running and to maintain the progress throughout the tournament. There's been a lot of highs and lows through the week and I think it's been beneficial to the players judging by the leaderboards. I hope all players enjoyed taking part in the competition and will take part again if they are available. Best of luck in the Promotion Event and in your future tournaments wherever you end up. If you find yourself on the Web tour I'll be your host in Week 17 at Desert Wolf. So let me congratulate the winning captain Taylor Knight and his USA team for showing some fighting spirit and great golf throughout the week. As agreed before the competition started the winning captain will rename the contest, so we can rebrand and add more flexibility to the format. We will sort out the rebranding after the USA team enjoy their celebrations and hopefully have a future contest ready to tie in with the next Promotion Event in Week 25. I'd like to invite all players to join in with the after-event party at Wolf's Fang Golf Club. Food and drink will be supplied along with an excellent selection of music to see you through the night. You might want to bring your golf clubs as well as Wolf's Fang Golf Club has been closed to the public to allow the players to enjoy a round before the launch of the renovated Wolf's Fang (Tour) course. As all CC flights are playing Aristida Dunes Club this coming week, I've quickly thrown together the CC Wolf Pack Pro/Am. This is going to be a stripped back contest with just a leaderboard at first, I might add to it through the week. If anyone is interested in joining and hasn't signed up, post on the thread in the CC folder. There's no rest for the wicked.

Thank you Pat for running the competition great presentation for the last few rounds I felt like I was reading BBC sport reports only better. Thank you to Jamie for sticking by me and the rest of my team sorry I didn’t get the result I wanted in the singles congratulations to the USA team for turning it round some great scoring in the third and fourth rounds by both teams. It’s been a pleasure and I know a few of you will be moving on to pastures new, myself I think I will be staying right here but it’s only what I deserve.

*We Are The Champions plays in the background* What a great win for the USA! I thought we were down and out a couple days ago but we pulled back with some great play! This was such a fun and enjoyable event. Thank you again to Pat for organizing and writing great summaries, you truly did an amazing job. Also thank you to the team captain Taylor for the positive encouragement to play the best we possibly could! Thanks to everyone again and I hope to see you guys down the road.

No problem Les, I just thought the last day needed something different so I had what Sky Sports do in mind. Sorry I couldn't get any of their ladies to read it out 😁. Thanks for taking part I'll be around CC for a bit still, so if I've got any other contests in future I'll let you know. Anyway it's more fun down in CC, all the rest will come sandbagging back down in time 😂.

Day 3 Singles Match 1Vereen V Van Niekerk The match started off with the players parring the first two holes, then a Vereen birdie on the 3rd put him 1 up. That was immediately followed by another birdie on the 4th and an eagle on the 5th to give him a 3 hole lead. Van Niekerk stopped him going further ahead by halving 6 and 7, but couldn't do anything as another Vereen eagle on the 8th extended his lead to 4 up. Van Niekerk stemmed the flow of holes to the USA by tying the 9th and 10th, but with Vereen winning the 11th the task was made harder. Another birdie on 12 then a halved hole on the 13th seen Vereen continue his sublime form and win the match for USA. Great round Avery! Way to represent the USA!!!

WOW! What an amazing comeback by a truly determined USA team that I am humbled to represent as the Captain, truly great effort and determination all the way around! To the ROW team, fantastic effort and well done. You guys gave us a great match and had us nervous in the early goings on. Keep up the good play. To all the contestants, I hope you found this enjoyable and a welcome addition to the TGCT community and experience. I have really enjoyed these "extra" events. To Pat - Hard to put into words the appreciation I have for the effort you put in for an event you didn't even get to play in! Absolutely fantastic and professional event you put on and you should be very proud. Bringing all of us together and making this kind of event was no small task. Your write ups, particularly the final day, were top notch and very exciting! Thanks again to everybody for your participation and GO USA!

I forgot to thank all you for advising me on the set up of the tournament, as it was my first solo event. I've learnt not to schedule one after a Promotion Event and to have rules in place before it starts.
In future I'm thinking of putting in deadlines for each round just so it flows better. For instance Round 1 (Tues), Round 2 (Wed), Round 3 (Fri) and Round 4 (Sat) it just means Day 1 is completely finished before Day 2 starts. If there's any aspects of the tournament that could use a bit of tweaking let me know. Did the Total Stroke mode work or would it be better to play alternate holes?

I certainly recognize the desire for round deadlines, but my schedule can be quite variable...I always get my rounds in but I don't always know when I can do it.

I certainly recognize the desire for round deadlines, but my schedule can be quite variable...I always get my rounds in but I don't always know when I can do it. That's good, I thought the Total Stroke would encourage both players to shoot low rather than just target what their partner missed. The deadlines is just something I thought I'd explore, and I understand that not everyone can spread their rounds out. But I suppose with a bit of communication between me and the players could help. It could just be a message saying "I can get 2 rounds in on Thursday and 2 on Saturday" or along them lines, just so I can plan around things. It's something I should've thought of before the tournament began, so it still gives the players freedom and keeps me in the loop.
