I think from what I gather from past discussions about replays not showing what actually happened is this. The replay data is a numerical value. Stored on the HB servers. When you go to view it, the software recreates the replay using the numerical values from the shot.
Therefore they are not stored locally.
What I do (using a nvidea card) is with gforce experience I have it set to record the last 5 minutes. I can then hit F11 (custom key binding) and it's stored into a folder I designated when setting up GForce Experience.
Now I've had times where the recording didn't start at loadup and had saved my replay using the TGC19 "save replay". Then would go view it then after making sure Experience was turned on then hit F11, record it that way. Bring it into Windows Movie maker, trim, edit then upload to youtube or my personal web space.
So if your using a Nvidea card and don't mind installing Gforce Experience (some people don't like it) then you can set it up like I do. If not then I think Fraps (not sure) has video recording in it, or someone else may have a better solution.
